hopefully I don’t regret this.
just sell it now. someone will happily buy it from you, probably at a profit, and you won't have to worry about it.

If I have any significant problems I will for sure sell it, first I do have to get it and when that is, is an unknown.

Is this the clicking/knocking? Mine is now off the road as needs new SYNC module and a new ABS module.... as well as the roof recall, new windscreen for faulty heating elements, and new half shafts. Can't tell me when the parts will be available! :(
Yes, that's the sound my car makes.
Now my car has a new issue - It won't precondition in the morning anymore, the app says it's preparing for a trip but never finishes and when I get in to leave it's cold.

I have an update on my premium awd mme. After waiting weeks to get my car in (no available rental) they installed the new front motor. For an unknown reason they deemed the noise was coming internally from the motor. I got a call today and after the new motor, the noise is still there. Ford is now telling them to order new “half shafts”. I now have a new front motor and the Half shafts are in order. It’s nice that ford is being supportive of these cars. Hopefully this will solve the problem.

Ahh thanks for the update! Was curious how that new front motor was going to do. Now the wait for half shafts. We both lost some time with our cars, only to arrive back at the half shafts. I'm waiting on the left side (with no ETA) after convincing the SA to please just go ahead give that a try. This after they were also frustrated "With Ford unable to even provide us with the slightest assistance in the diagnosis process." So at least in your case they advised the tech to order the parts.

Holding out a bit more hope that the customer specialist assigned to me can help escalate in some way, but so far they are not getting much of a response from my dealership either. ?

I have the clicking issue on turning. Dealer was able to hear it on their quick drive of it. Yesterday they called and said parts are backordered. I will find out in a couple days exactly what parts they are waiting on. I had dropped the car off for the following:
1. PAAK update
2. Windshield recall
3. Pano Roof recall
4. mis-aligned hatch and hood
5. Axle/CVjoint clicking noise while turning
6. Software update program

Overall this list is far longer than every other car I have ever bought combined. I hope for the long-term health of Ford they get this under control.

I still love my car and miss it quite a bit. The dealer has been great so far and are just working through the list.

More of the same here. Just had mine diagnosed, although I thought it was the driver-side axle causing the noise. The dealership said it was actually the passenger side. Part is backordered of course. Not sure if the part price was based upon warranty, or if there was a chance it was retail, but apparently the axle shaft cost $240, if anyone is curious and hadn't already discussed.

The good thing is, from what I've noticed and experienced, is Ford is trying hard to do what's right and get our vehicles fixed and us satisfied. I've been very happy with how they've handled most everything! So, at least they're backing us up. :)

Exactly my scenario. They used something called chassis ears to diagnose which side. No luck after replacing the right halfshaft though back in December, skipping ahead to now they will try to left side, but backorder - so waiting. In the meantime, they just replaced my right control arm now also. Thinking it could be a ball joint after using chassis ears again. Pouring rain right now, so will be hard to fully test and listen.

They also went ahead and ordered the left control arm also - just in case. Also on backorder. So the whole left side is on back order, LOL. So I may just go bring it back home and test on my own while we await the next round of parts to come in.

Hey there @msherman1 - did you mean to send a reply message above? It didn't go through. Just blank.

Update:
Right control arm replacement did not do the trick. I've already had the right half shaft replaced, and they also previously decided to perform a brake pad/rotor TSB without success.

At this point we are simply waiting for the left half shaft to come in. Based on everything I've read here up till now, and what others have experienced, I really have high hopes that this will be the solution. Just the waiting game again. They also went ahead and ordered the left control arm - "just in case"

It feels so good to at least have the car back while we wait. That was the hardest part this past month. Oh that sweet sweet torque, how I missed thee.

Yes I actually put a post about this too and didn't notice this was here but I do have that same clunky noise turning my car to the right especially if I had a tiny bump but generally will happen anytime I turn the wheel 80% to the right

What I am noticing about this clicking noise is that it ALWAYS happens when I reverse a little, then move my car forward and make a left turn. Never fails to start clicking!
