The half shaft issue is pre-July 2021 I believe.
And I assume only all-wheel. I'm wondering if it is a problem with the way it works like at differential. It's only at near the end of the steering range.

So RUBY is at the Dealership. Has been sitting unplugged and untouched for 5 days. I have asked and re-iterated that they still need to update all the Software/Modules and have the Glass inspected by someone who knows... I don't want anyone to remove the PANO nor Windshield if it doesnt need it.

We will see how long it takes before RUBY wakes up and/or I get a status update from the Dealershit
Have they given you any indication on when they'll work on it or what they're waiting on...? Have you tried sending a remote start command to the car and seeing if it receives it? There is always a small chance they disconnected the battery or something so you won't get securialerts, etc. for when they do work on it.

Yes only AWD. I am lead to believe it is a part issue, new half shafts have been problematic, but I also believe you are right with your assumption.

just kind of following up here, I have gone a while now with the replacements on both sides, and so far, no return of the clunk at all. There were places I could 100% replicate it through normal driving that it's not happening now.

I don't have the repair order handy (not at home at this second) but when I think of it and have a chance, I'll post a picture of the work. (The Ford site shows work was done but doesn't have a detailed work order.)

I've started to notice a clunking sound from our vehicle after 10k miles. Looks like I'll have to mention it when I go in for the recall work. Definitely not all the time, just an occasional clink or two when turning hard left I believe.

No updates from the Dealership. I've used the widget to refresh the car info. No changes to any software , miles , battery % etc. I have not done a remote start. I'll try that tomorrow.

Thanks for the update. I've noticed our car is making clunking noises turning both left and right now. I may have missed the noise initially as it sounds a lot like the turn signal.

Sadly it appears that our MME is going to end up having most of the problems the early builds have.

ok, I have the repair order handy - here's the relevant portion, showing both done in front with the part numbers, etc.:

Does anybody know if this noise issue is happening in the newer models MME’s?
So my clunk is a little different. I have a 12/13 build date GTPE, the last of the 2021's, I just received a couple weeks ago. My clunk is only when reversing and turning over a downhill bump at the bottom of my driveway at its transition to the street. Sounds like it's coming from both the front right and left axle areas. It's a distinct single (or double) clunk when hitting that spot. Maybe the CV joints?

Here's what it sounds like:

Could this be expected and acceptable given I'm coming down a grade, turning and hitting a bump all at the same time? I wouldn't think so right?

I get a quieter little thump when I go slow over speed bumps, it almost sounds like its the bushings or something trying to "reset" the car back to proper height?

Mine is a clunk that sounds much like the turn signal but louder. It is rotational, and appears to happen only during the harder right/left turns. Mine is at service today, will see what they say once they actually look at it (4 hrs so far it has not moved.)

Let us know what they find. I don't get my sound at any other time. Just turning in reverse over a bump. I may take it in if I can find the time.

The dealer kept the car overnight (didn't bother to call to let me know ) and is still waiting to diagnose. The service manager did say there was a TSB for the noise- I'll update once I hear back hopefully by this afternoon.

They did the same thing on mine in early March for the same noise. At first they were only going to do the right side, but then decided that the noise was from both sides and replaced both.

I went away on vacation for a couple of weeks, so I didn't get to test it immediately. But in the past couple of days I tried it out and the noise it gone. I just hope it isn't a recurring issue.
