Battery charging questions?

I have the charge target level set at 80% and use about 15-20% of charge daily. Is it better to charge daily to the target level or only charge when it gets down to 10-20%?
Been hearing it's better to run your battery down and also been hearing others say to charge daily.
Also, does the 12V battery get a charge while it's charging the battery? Heard horror stories about the 12V battery running out of juice and the car going dead. Thanks and appreciate and other tips!!

I have heard you can set the charge target level to 90% with the newer models. Not sure about your other questions . . .

20% is a little low, I would keep it between 30-90% for daily use. In your case I would charge it every 2-3 days.

Yes 12V battery is charged when HV charging.

Charge every day provided it is convenient to do so (such as your own private L2 at home). Owning an EV is liberating. You are likely to begin driving to places you wouldn't have before because it is so much less expensive than gasoline.

If you charge every day then you can set departure times to precondition the car and the LVB will be maintained more effectively.

There is no reason to let the HVB charge deplete down to a low level before recharging.

Thanks for that guys, and your right you never know what might come up. Took the Pony to a car show today(for the first time) and 165 mustangs were showing and only two Mach-E's were there. So many people looking all around the car, asking so many questions and a lot seeing it for the first time. They were loving the Pony and some going Lady GaGa over it.
