Mine came with Continental Cross Contact RX from factory. Here it’s mostly rain and ice. Not much snow.

I think based on your wants you will be happy with the Hankook. I have been watching to see when Tire Rack or consumer reports tests the ion to get some non-subjective results. For me the small 2% efficiency loss is worth the much better grip and handling. Also the QTP+ has the three peak mountain snowflake winter tire rating. So it has a huge advantage in the snow we get here in MN.

I am probably the oddball on the forum having run 16 different wheel / tire combos. I also switch winter and summer tires. Probably also rare being one of the GTPE running 19" wheels to increase efficiency.

Last thoughts when you buy from Tire Rack they include road hazard. You can have tires shipped to discount tire in my area they do the mount and balance for $100.

Interested to hear how the Hankook’s workout. Late info but, i live in north Alabama where hydroplaning is our weather threat. On my Cmax hybrid, I traded out the OEM Michelins for GoodYear weatherready tires. Fantastic traction, quieter, smoother and I got 50,000 miles out of them but, mileage went from 42 down to 32! Replaced those with GoodYear comfortdrive. Good traction, even quieter with slight improvement in mileage. Traded the Cmax in on the MME for cost savings so my priorities are similar to yours. I want low rolling resistance and smoother ride with confidence in rain.

There's a reason Ford chose the Continental CrossContact RX as the original tire for the GT. It's a good balance of performance, comfort, and rolling resistance. It's got a 480 treadwear rating and so far they've held up pretty well for me for the months that I use them (I use CC2s as my winter tires from November thru March). When the time comes, I will want to replace the Conti's with tires that better emphasize range and the Hankook Ion EVO SUV AS seem like a good fit.

Hankook says they hired a 3pty company to do a benchmark test of the Ion EVO AS against other EV-specific tires and it seems legit.

Out of the tires on your list I would do the Pilot Sport 4 A/S

One other tire you should consider is the Vredetein Quatrac Pro + it's considerably better in the wet and much lower rolling resistance than the CC2 & PS 4 A/S One other important advantage is they are asymmetrical so you can do a 4 tire rotate.

Check them out on TR

https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Vredestein&tireModel=Quatrac+Pro+&partnum=255WR9QTPPXL&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes

Here is the test result from the old Quatrac Pro the new tire improves handling and breaking

https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/testDisplay.jsp?ttid=306

I did them in a 245/50/19 105v smooth, quite, great handling and braking
My qualm with the Quatrac Pro+ is that the wear rating is only 400 which makes me think that they're just not going to be great for longevity. Otherwise, i'm curious about their rolling resistance and wet traction.

Do you know the wear rating is set by the manufacturer and there is no uniform test. Manufacturers are required to use it as a comparison between their best and worst wearing tires. So a 400 in a Vredetein could be a 600 in a Michelin. You can use this as a comparison but only within the same manufacturer.

Interesting. Though I have never had different tires for different seasons and don’t really need them here. My interest would be in an all season. I had Michelin CrossClimates on my Volt and they were great though it was lighter and did not have nearly the power of my GT.

Do you know the wear rating is set by the manufacturer and there is no test. It's simply a made up number means nothing.
be that as it may, I would expect to get a fair number more miles out of the Hankook's UTQG treadwear rating of 600 vs the Vredestein's 400, and that they'll roll easier than the 3PMSF-rated Quatrac Pro+.

I wouldn't, the milage warranty is a much more important indicator of what to expect. Plus if you understand rolling resistance one of the ways to achieve lower rolling resistance is to wear faster.

One way to think about tires wear faster when they are at the apex of traction they can provide. So a tire with more traction in the same situation will wear less.

Check it out both have a 50k warranty.

Here is some reading on treadwear.

https://www.tireagent.com/blog/unde...rating means that,with a 100 treadwear rating.

Also if you live in an area that gets snow a tire that is more plyable at lower temperatures will be more efficient in the cold. In winter a higher traction tire will wear longer.

What about CRT1 AWD ? Has anyone replaced their tires, mine are at 20K and tread depths are around 5/32. OEM Michelin Primacy .

Are you happy with the Primacy? Is there anything you would.like to improve? What's important to you in a new tire ?

So I went on my first long drive with the car no matter what tires I had on, but today I drove with the new Michelin CC 2’s. so I’m not sure how to interpret my range. I started out at 100% 269 miles. It was in the mid 80s 95% freeway for 50 miles one-way 50 miles back. I was getting an average of 2.8 climate control and accessories were taking up a total 5% so I ended up driving 105 miles using 40%. I have 162 miles left so I don’t know what that tells me?

I just replaced my Hankook Ion with the Michelin Pilot A/S tires and was surprised at how much quieter and better ride they were over the Hankooks. Also while small sample size but my work commute has exactly same performance of approximately 19% battery usage for 47 miles of highway driving. Really liking this tire so far
I moved to these on my GTPE, very good, I think better ride

I got the CC2s for weekend ski jaunts up to Snoqualmie and they perform great. I'm not sure they're any better on ice than the CrossContact RX.

Which 19" wheels are you using? I've thought about switching to 19" when the time comes.
