I wonder why the window sticker on my 2022 shows that the Connected Built-in Navigation is included for 3 years but Bluecruise is included without limit.

I have a 2021 FE and I didn’t receive an email. Wonder if I should be concerned?
Same. I have a 21 premium AWD, no email with offer. I may have opted out of marketing messages though.

I may be a minority here, and I know that the thread is about pricing. But I have literally used the BlueCruise once or twice just for novelty, and never felt the need to or want to use it again. Ever. If they take it away, I wouldn’t even notice it. It is honestly only somewhat useful, mainly on straight roads in its current version IMHO. Isn’t the car a sheer pleasure to drive manually?

For long trips on highways, the adaptive cruise control with lane keeping assistance was more than enough to reduce the driving fatigue.

With all due respect, I genuinely don’t understand the obsession / fascination with signing ourselves for autonomous driving beta testing on real roads. And paying for it. Most cars are overpromising and underperforming in this regard, aren’t they? Why is everyone running behind this? To be able to check texts and reels while driving? I am genuinely curious.

Same was the case when I had the Tesla, just the basic adaptive cruise control was more than enough (well, even that didn’t work well with all the phantom braking events, so I ended up almost never using it) with lane departure assistance, which I did use. And my friends are wanting to buy their first Tesla with $15k FSD as if it’s the best thing since sliced bread.

Is BlueCruise 1.3 really that groundbreaking for daily driving that it is worth subscribing to and enrich Ford’s neural network on our dime? :)

There was no electing to get BC or not. It wasn’t available when 2021 Job 1 cars were sold, so nobody got it.
This is kind of true. We could only choose hardware, not whether BT software would be there. But it was a journey:

At the time of my order, in early Feb 2021, the order summary listed "Active Drive Assist Prep Kit."

But by the time my car was made in June, the online Ford order summary instead listed "BlueCruise" under features.

On the other hand, the window sticker listed, "FORD CO-PILOT360TMACTIVE2.0 PREP PACKAGE."

BlueCruise was ultimately delivered via OTA nearly a year later in June 2022.

LOL - you think there a “neural network”? This ain’t Tesla. I like BC. I’ll pay a little to keep using it. I’m also realistic about what it is and isn’t.

I don’t. That’s why it should be free. It was a sarcastic remark. :)

Also a FE. No email. Went into Connected Services and renewed. I don't use it often but nice to have.

Too many promised updates showing up months late or not at all.... remember the email about 1.3 being just around the corner? Well, It's December and I still don't have it. Ford's promises have become a running joke on this forum...."coming soon". Was really hoping to try 1.3, but I guess I never will because 1.2 is not worth $200 a year to me and there's no believable timeline for when I'll get 1.3 .....$800 a year is laughable.
I have 2 issues with the pricing, and this is the top one. I don’t feel that it’s ok to charge me for a service, then treat me like an afterthought when it comes to delivering updates to that service.

My second issue is that as a Job 1 owner, I have an option to purchase a 3 year subscription, on a car that is already 3 years old (it will be in March anyway). If I upgrade before that 3 year subscription expires, what becomes of it? Does it transfer with the car?can I transfer it to my next vehicle if that vehicle is BlueCruise capable? Do I get a prorated refund?

The answers are all available in your Ford.com account.
It doesn’t transfer and once activated, cannot be canceled for a refund.

So, if I get rid of the car before it is 6 years old, with 150,000 miles on it, I’m out the money. And, based on all experience to this point, I’m looking at being a year behind on service updates. Honestly, $50/year for just map updates, while remaining at the current version sounds much better to me.

Just a clarification -- this was mentioned earlier in the thread (or another thread). The subscription transfers to the new owner of the vehicle. In theory, you extract your remaining subscription in resale value.

I will make ford a deal, fix the problem where. Every 10 minutes I lose my front camera and I will sign up for the 3 year offer! Job 1 life.

I had the same issue. Take it in for service. They replaced a cable to the camera and no issues since.

I’ve seen posts in other threads where a few people said they’ll consider paying the $800/year after they get a chance to try BC1.3. At the core of it, it’s still SAE Level 2 ADAS. You still have to watch the road. Level 3 is where you can do something while the car is driving. There is no basis whatsoever, at least for me, where paying for Level 2 makes sense.

From what I've seen here, the number of people that say they're willing to pay $800/yr is close to zero.
