Blue instrument cluster when using BlueCruise?

I was using the nav system at the time and seemed to be working flawlessly. Does nav use the same GPS for positioning as BC? I never really thought about it.

Yes. Open bezel diagnostics by holding Vol - and Left arrow on the steering wheel in FM mode, go into the "location information" and you can see the satellite status and signal strength if you want to check on the GPS reception as a potential cause.

Yeah, it's the same GPS. If the navigation was working correctly, then that probably wasn't the issue.

The only other thing I've experienced is that the cameras were dirty. If they're really gross, it'll give you a warning that driver assistance is unavailable, but sometimes it's right in the middle where it thinks it can detect the lines, but really can't, at least not reliably.

Just an update - did another road trip today, 110 miles each way. Outbound BC worked perfectly (confirming my suspicion that it would work after restarting). Return, no go. I switched off lane keeping, then back on. Got message “Bluecruise not available” followed by “Driver monitor camera malfunction - see manual.”

She goes to the dealer Friday.
