I've been ticked at the demand for $499-600 per year, but I caved today for the $249. I really wish nobody would buy it at $499 or more, which eventually would make the point to Ford. I'm sure they will see an uptick this month at the $249 level.
As a very wise person predicted, Ford is gonna follow the cable / SiriusXM pricing model for BC… set a stupid high rack renewal rate to net a relative few, then build out the subscriber base with scattershot promotional pricing. If the price is low enough I’ll play the game a year at a time. But not for $250. It just ain’t worth it.
I went for it. Probably a year at least before I get rid of this early. At the very least it’ll be nice just not to be nagged to hold the wheel, even when I am.
I subscribed last month for 30 days to kick the tires, but not worth $500/year for me considering how little I drive on divided freeways. My subscription expires tomorrow. We will see if Ford offers me the special pricing. At $250/yr they’d have me.
