If I had the money, there’s 12 people in this thread ai would love to have a community dinner with, at Sizzler, at 4pm. It’d be a riot and half the staff would walk out just hearing us come through the door.

I mean the obsolete owners manual videos. Yes. You clearly didn’t watch the 10 sec clip, but want to comment anyway.
I clearly don’t need to because it’s obsolete and I know it.

For some folks it’s not just looking to the right, the spreed can be obscured when it’s over there. While having a visual indication of the automation status of your car is important, speed is paramount — it should always be front and center.
I beg to differ: as a long time stick shift sports car driver, the TACH should always be front and center with a smaller speedometer off to the side! Maybe replace the TACH with a dial of plus/minus power consumption/recovery? ?

Please stop. Showing such alarming images has caused great anxiety for me. Next you'll be telling me they're putting it back, but the triangles will now be octagons. That will put me right over the edge.
I think you're on to something here but instead of triangles or octagons we need hexagons. Why you may ask because hexagons are the best-a-gons and they will give added strength to the new IPC layout.

Before anyone rolls their eyes at me I've laid it all out in this photo. As you can see because of the lack of triangles in the middle of the new IPC it is not properly supported. Ford did not realize how dangerous this is. My proposal is to create hexagons in the corner of the IPC to alleviate this unintentional over sight by Ford.

? I’d still not have an unobstructed view of the speed. If they did do what you’re suggesting, there’d be no graphical indication of automation status.

The non centered speedometer will make me cry a little. ? It's so bad. When cruise control is on, I care less because the car is going a consistent speed.

I'm almost always on unbridle mode with no assists on. Looks nice and clean. These screenshots make me sad inside. ?

Still cheaper than a wife that loses features.

Ah...so you're fine with owning a $60,000 vehicle that loses features?
I didn't pay $60K. I've also never lost a feature either just gained them.

Now I'm working on @Ford Motor Company to get on board with my hexagon idea. I'm almost certain that Ford will use my photo as a prototype to make the IPC as structurally sound as it can be. It's just a matter of getting their top engineers on it.

This is more overwrought than #tilegate last year.

Fellas, I may not agree with you, but I stand behind you! With a bucket of popcorn. ?
The tiles were a bigger deal because it took away actual data. A functional loss.

AFAIK, this is pure aesthetics, no function.

What I’m actually scratching my head about is why so many people want to turn off safety features (lane keep assist) in order to make the speedometer more aesthetically pleasing.

Probably because some of us actually enjoy driving. I'm beginning to think that they should NOT have called this car a mustang. My bad for wanting a fun-to-drive EV. Apparently I'm vastly outnumbered and driving a lane-assisted refrigerator sounds more appealing. Crap like this makes me consider re-joining the "NEVER EV / Fun ICE Cars Forever Crew". I must be in the twilight zone. Yikes.
