Brake Coach keeps turning back on

i think the brake coach is a stupid bit of unnecessary software. I always turn it off. Yet somehow after a week or so it always turns back on. A petty annoyance to be sure but an annoyance nonetheless. Off means off. any help appreciated

For me, every OTA update turns that and the interior alarm setting back on. I am unsure why these are so important to Ford that the keep turning them back on. It is annoying, and just more evidence of Ford's software competence (or lack thereof).

I never change drive modes, I like Unbridle. In the past few weeks, it's been in Engage when I get in. That never happened before.

Thank you. Also thought it might be update related but not sure. It turns back on sometimes even when no update is indicated at top of center screen. I also wish the interior sensors could be permanently disabled.

Happens to me with every OTA and it is a pain. I’m not sure why it happens but I’m guessing it would take the programmers too long to figure out where in the code that happens given the fires that they need to put out. I agree it is useless. I’m not going to alter how I drive because the brake coach tells me I’m only getting 95% regen.

This happens to a lot of our customers as well. OTA seems to set things back to the factory setting. Quite a few have reached out to Ford (Ford of Canada at least) saying they'd like to change that so hopefully something comes out of that

Maybe try turning it on? I turn mine on (I like every bell and whistle on please) and it never, ever appears. I'm going to try turning mine off to see if I can get it to work!

Brake coach also has popped back up a few times. Same with a change in my setting to disable the rear trunk liftgate (I back in and I park close to the wall and I don't want to accidentally trigger my trunk to open and hit the wall). It's usually update related for me although I've noticed that the brake coach will turn itself back on a few times before finally agreeing to the off position.
