I was in Midtown Manhattan last week and had a double-take crossing the street on 5th Ave - Saw a white MME with the LED Pony - looked great at night. Turned out to be an NYC Patrol Car!

For anyone that wants to dim the brightness on their front pony.....

I've had several members ask me if the brightness of the front pony can be dimmed down a bit because it is very bright. The BSKT front pony is much brighter than the OEM pony. At night when dark, if you were to see a Mach-E coming at you in the opposite direction with the headlights/DRL's on, you barely notice the OEM lit pony. However, the BSKT pony is about as bright as all of the other front lights and you really do notice it. Most love this but some would like the brightness dimmed down to match the OEM pony.

I had to find the proper resistor and after testing different values, I ended up using a 100 ohm. It is just slightly brighter than the OEM pony. I have purchased some and if anyone wants one, let me know and will send to you free or you can buy a 100 ohm, 50 watt resistor (has to be at least 50 watts). https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DXDSSDY2?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1
You splice it inline with the white wire going to the front pony.

The testing was done with my '24 GT pony which is glossy black and slightly larger compared to the BSKT pony which has the ribs and is slightly smaller which fits in the non-GT front bumper cover.

Below are the ponies not lit up.

Dim enough it doesn't mess with the 360 camera? (I might finally take the plunge as I've been doing nothing exciting for the past few months)

I assume so if it is the same brightness as the OEM with the resistor. On the other hand, don't remember anyone complaining about the front camera and pony, only the rear pony being too bright for the camera.

That was my experience - only the rear pony and only when I had the reverse light (white) function connected. I have had no issues with the rear pony (red) or front (even at full brightness) messing with the cameras. I am one of the guys that asked Mark about dimming the front pony, but only because I prefer the appearance of the OEM pony's brightness.

My experience is a little different. The front white and rear red both mess with my cameras. The front causes a blurring forward of the car and the rear red causes a dimming of the screen when backing up.

I was showing off my pony light to my brother in law and he pointed out the lower left hoof....the one from the pony's back leg isn't as bright as the rest of the pony. I recall the entire emblem was bright without any dim spots. Can you confirm if this is normal or if mine is starting to go out?

You can kind of see it in this picture. It's more noticable in person.

I don’t think it’s going out. While I don’t have one on my car, the one I’ve been using for testing is a little less bright in that area also. I don’t think it’s as dim as yours but hard to tell in photos. Maybe there were some that are more dim that others? I have no problem sending you another pony when I get more in stock. Two days ago I shipped the last one of the second batch of 50. Bruce is shipping another batch of 50 but I’m leaving to go out of the country on Sunday and won’t be back until Thursday the 11th.

Maybe some others here will chime in to let us know if theirs is slightly dim in that area.

Personally

Hi Igor, are you saying your pony has a slight dim area on the foot like Jeff's pony above or do you want a resistor to dim your pony to the brightness of the OEM pony?

No, I’m ordered BSKT bundle today and will install new front pony along with grill. I like idea with dimming to make it more like GT brightness.

Ok, I'll send you a resistor for that purpose. 😊

I don't have one, but in these pictures it is pretty clear that the brighter pony is poorly designed, i.e. the light is so glaring that the pony is blurry. The bottom shot is clear and crisp. If I ever had one, I would definitely use the resistor.
