Hi. So I have a desired time to charge, between 2 and 4 am. However, the app still says it will charge when I plug the car in, and it does? Why does it do that? How can I change it?

So once it starts immediately charging I then go into the app and stop the charging. Will it then start again at 2 am?

I’m assuming you have setup a charge location?
Post a screenshot of the charging setup page from the Ford app

2 hours is totally inadequate. Car will start charging immediately because of that.

Ah, you think that's why it said will charge upon plug in? Will it now start charging at the time I set (or earlier if it need to)? I really don't care if it gets to 50% but I need more than what it has. I wish I could see it to charge for less than 50%.

Thanks.

240V will start immediately if it cannot hit the target.

120V will always start immediately.

9% to 50% needs more than 2 hours. If you have a departure time, it will start charging to make sure it reaches 50% by your departure time.
I would assume that if you don’t have a departure time it would start charging at 2am. But not sure.

So I just plugged it in and now the app says it's waiting to charge but it's actually charging. I have the universal Tesla charger and the green light indicates it's charging as does the Tesla app. Currently have 39% charge, it's set to max 50% charge and to charge between midnight and 4 am.

Any thoughts?? Ugh!

I unplugged it and plugged it back in but the same thing is happening. It shouldn't be charging.

UPDATE: ok it finally stopped. Not sure why it took 10 minutes to stop.

It’s probably pulling a small amount of power for other stuff. How much power did the charger say it was pulling?

If you want a hard limit to the charge window then set it in the charger and not the car.

Maybe that was it. The Tesla app doesn't show any charge history for that time.

Thanks
