I has been about 20 years since I've done any cad work; but since I now have access to 3d printers at my home I figured I would try to make a clip to fix the cargo cover clip in place. File attached if anyone else wants to give them a shot.

Edit: Etsy Link for those without 3d printers.

Yeah, saw both of those and didn't like either design. The first one just felt like it would potentially fall off over time (using only two bumps for retention). The second I wasn't even quite sure how to use.

Also needed to start brushing off those cad skills for a future EV conversion.

Just a heads up for anyone ordering them in PLA. In high heat (above 122F) you might have issues with them melting or becoming disfigured.

I would recommend that if you want these and live in a very hot area that you have someone print them in Polycarbonate. Most 3D printers cannot print PC because it requires a 500F nozzle and 200F bed along with more expensive filament, but it's kinda required for this type of application. Carbon Fiber or Nylon would also be acceptable.

I've printed hundreds of radar detector mounts for the MachE and in my original testing (110F days) the PLA had major issues. I have a commercial grade machine so I printed my mounts in PC and never had an issue since.
