Yes, I agree. Especially with the rising EV sales and once other companies gets their deal in place with Tesla supercharging, it might might be an issue. I guess we'll just know once they introduce the adapter.

EVs that need to take up 2 spots will generate a lot of hate from all those that are waiting.

How will it work in a situation where all spots are full? Do you pull into the empty spot, then wait till the spot next to open up and then use that charger? I can imagine how the guy that's pulling into that spot is going to feel when someone takes "his" charger and he has to wait an additional 40 mins to even begin charging. I just don't see how tempers won't flare up regularly.

Personally I value availability of charging over speed of charging, so even if something like that only did 50KW it would be great to keep in the frunk.

If it is actually safe, I will buy one. The problem is cooling and can the extension cord handle the power going through it without melting? The Tesla cord is cooled. This thing will not be. So either it will be massively thick, or dangerous, or both.

Someone else needs to do full testing on this product before I will buy it.

Agreed, the 250KW claim feels wrong without cooling. Tesla superchargers up to V2 (150KW) never had liquid cooled cables, so maybe a 100KW version of this could work.

you would only need it if the Superchargers were relatively full when you pulled in.

During testing, they will determine what length causes the cable to melt at 250kW sustained usage, and then they will make it 1" shorter than that.

Now, if I could get some missile launchers for my car to clear traffic, or maybe some NBCs to deal with annoying neighbors ????

Nonsense, if you can drive a car, you can be trained for proper firearm ownership / handling. It's pretty simple to follow / understand. I grew up in a town where firearm ownership is to this day, mandated by law.

Also extension cord might not suppport 250KW and upwards of charging speeds unless they have cooling system.

But Ford's can charge only to 150 kw at present. Is cooling still going to be as much of a problem for 150 kw cars compared to higher power cars? The answer could be to provide an adapter which can handle 150 kw's easily while still working on higher power adapters.
