This morning mine showed 243 miles at 100%! ?

RickMachE,
Outside temp?
Driver type: heavy foot?
Use heater etc.

I should see same parameters but my outside temp. = 35F in am.
Use heater, live in LA environment.
Not sure if MachE uP algorithm is tuned to my environment and EV driving history.

@05reinvent make sure you Post your replies AFTER the end quote. “/QUOTE” with brackets around. Or it inserts what you say as part of the quote.

It’s driving me nuts reading this lol. Sometimes you do it sometimes you don’t lol.

We have a Select RWD with the standard battery, rated for "230" and we live in Orange County, temps here last night was 37, wife charged the car and the GOM shows "195". It's all normal for the GOM to jump around, when it was warmer a few weeks ago our GOM showed "220" but mind you we charge only to 90%.

Bottom line - use the GOM as point of reference and not as what your actual will be, as stated elsewhere on this forum track your efficiency and mileage, we do and we're getting 245-260. This is no different than an ICE vehicle.

Also, using the heater, defroster, ac, just like in an ICE vehicle, hugely impacts the range and GOM estimates.

I really don't understand how he can get it wrong so many times unless he's doing it on purpose. You literally just have to hit the reply button and start typing. The cursor defaults to the right place.

One question I've been meaning to ask. Some folks constantly refer to charging to 90%. Is there a reason for stopping short of 100% charge?

Not able to charge the car right now due to driveway resurfacing but I will report back with my 90 % charge results this week. Our forecast is for temps in the 80’s so I will be expecting a good number!
Car just completed charging to 90% and the GOM is showing 223 miles which is the lowest number I have seen yet. This makes me think that this estimate is not based on the weather forecast!

You’re right because it also takes into account your driving habits. For instance in my case with at SR RWD in the ideal situation I should get about 230miles with full charge, however because my daily commute is mostly highway driving with an average speed of 65miles per hour and because I happen to like my car warm(72 dec even when outside is -15dec) I usually only get 120-140miles with that full charge.

We are still averaging around 3.5 miles per kwh so I really don’t understand why the GOM estimate has been so low lately?
