Love my car but one critique that I have is with the charge door panel.

Two issues:
1. To me, the door seems light.
2. The locking mechanism doesn't seem to 'lock' all the time. It's finicky and it doesn't give much confidence when closing. I'm afraid of breaking it.

I have a 2018 Mustang GT Premium and I like the feel of that door way better. It's solid!

I had a 2017 and I loved that gas cap flap on it. Worked way better than whats on this car.

Agreed. Mine popped open half way through a 40 mile highway trip :/ Not sure if it was the combo of 80 and bumpy roads or just the build quality is that low but I don’t think it should be popping open at normal (in CA) highway speeds

If you look at it carefully, it's based on the design of a ball point pen clicker.

I can't see the 2023 models still being designed this way. The coming warranty claims will make sure of that.

There used to be a saying in the auto industry: Nothing kills a car faster than a simple part that isn't capable of doing its simple job.

Like a rearview mirror that won't stay where you set it, an ashtray lid that rattles, a seat that won't slide on it's tracks or a filler door that won't stay closed.
