I tried your method of charging and it didn't work for me. It charge the car all the way to 100% when I had set for 90% I was really hoping that would work it was easy way to charge.
DM me and I'll be more than happy to help you figure it out.

It will honor the % but I think we just have to make sure it's all setup correctly. The car actually controls the % so it should always work so long as the GPS in the car knows it's home. There's also a TSB that addresses this, so if you DM me we can go into more detail.

That's what had the car set for 90% charge and then scheduled the charge point charger for the start time but it charged all the way to 100%

Yes so, that's an issue with the car and has nothing to do with the charge. The Chargepoint EVSE will not override the car charging percentage. Normally this happens because the car doesn't have a good GPS location. There's a fix for it in the latest OBCC module update, I believe.

If you ensure that your charging is set like I have in my screenshot for your home location give it another try tonight and see what happens. Charging the car to 100% occasionally isn't going to hurt it so long as you drive it and get it to go down, so don't worry if you get to 100 through testing.

I'll try again next time I charge. I've using the Ford app for all the percentage of charge and time scheduling and everything has been working just the way its suppose to but I wanted to try the way you been doing it

First thanks to everybody for all the tips and tricks. I have tried it using the Ford App and the Chargepoint app and for me, the setting that seems to work best is to set Chargepoint to off on the schedule setting and use the Ford App to set the time to charge. Doing it that way has worked the best for me.

I agree with others to let the car manage the charging, not the chargepoint.

Another reason to do this: Pre-conditioning... if you're plugged in but outside of your charging window and have your car set to precondition, it'll pull some juice to not waste battery... but if your chargepoint is restricted, then it will just pre-warm/cool the car and not actually pre-condition.
In order to get the EVSE charger rebate in CT, I needed to give the utility access to the data from my JuiceBox. In order to comply, the smart charger needs to be set up for a start and end time.

The MME won’t capture data required by the utility since it’s not on a separate meter with a time of use capture. PS- the utility probably checks for a schedule.

This is exactly what I do. I leave the ChargePoint set to always charge, and let the car handle the scheduling.
I just got mine and I have the Chargepoint control it. Reason being if for some reason in a urgent need to charge and the chargepoint EVSE goes sideways and I am not home. I can instruct my wife to plug in the Ford provided charger and we don't have to think about going into the car or app to modify a schedule.
