so I figured out a trick here to make this work. It takes a couple of steps. But the grizzl-e finally stopped flashing, indicating it is not providing power, and the car is no longer humming. It takes a couple of steps.

Step 1: let the car charge to the desired percentage. Mine is set for 90%.

Step 2: In the FordPass app once it has reached the desired percentage, and it says charging complete hit the button to charge to 100%. I let mine charge to 91%. Then I unplugged it which resulted in it immediately dropping down by one percent which is what it always does. But now it dropped to 90%.

Step 3: go to the FordPass app and change the desired charge percent down by 5%. So I changed mine down to 85% desired charge.

Step 4: plug the car back in. I do this because it’s cold and I’m in Colorado and I want the battery and the cabin to precondition in the morning.

The result has now produced the desired behavior of what should be happening without me, having to take all these steps. The car is no longer humming, the EVSE on the wall is no longer flashing, and the FordPass app just has dashes for the charge rate. I’m no longer seeing, the kilowatt hours consumed going up infinitely. I hope Ford fixes this soon because it’s going to getting real annoying having to do this every single night.

Edit: 10 minutes later the EVSE is flashing again, and the car is humming like it’s charging. At least the app does not have the energy added line infinitely going up though.
Sending a charging schedule change though fordpass may not work and make it to the car every time as that is also buggy. Best to change the schedule in the car on the sync screen to ensure it changes if you are out there doing all that plugging and unplugging anyway. Not sure if that will work as I currently do not have the problem you are describing but sending departure and charging schedules through ford pass to the car is not an exact science.

I actually only used fordpass for my charging on my 21 premium and never had any problems with it. I only started trying the sync 4 charge set up on my 23 gt because of the issues I'm experiencing. I'm hoping that ford delivers on the promised OTA to fix this sometime in November as it's a royal pain in the ass to have remember to check to manually shut off the car when it reaches the target charge threshold. I'm at least lucky that I can actually stop charging thru fordpass app, others don't even have that option.

So, just to be clear, when your car reaches the desired level,, even pressing "stop charging" in fordpass, won't stop the charge hum and turn out blue light at the charge port? I'm lucky that "stop charging" works on mine, the whole, thing is really annoying tho.
It does stop it when I push the button in the app, but 10 minutes later it starts up on its own again.

I tried this too. Same result.

I don't trust it so I unplug soon after I hit "stop charging".

I wish I had 132kW that was charged (=

I was at 79% when plugged in. ~40F temps.

Cold wires and cold 50amp breaker which means "not really charging anything".

The fan ran for 19 hours. I unplugged/plugged which reset back to my 90% default target charge and the fan stopped and remained stopped. kW used is < 1kW

Yeah, I think the issue is that the MME isn't sending the "charged" notification back to the EVSE. Its not "really" charging and killing our house energy bill, its just stuck at the car saying both "charged" and "almost charged" at the same time. Hence the fan running continuously.

Just not sure if this does it at the 90% target same as 100%... like will it stay stuck at 89% forever?

Now showing no charge at all.... this is good. No fan running.

I wonder if the 132kwh is actually used or fordpass just thinks it's used. I mean where would the kwh go, I would think if it was really sending that kwh the battery would explode?
I've tried at 100% 90% 80% and 85%. For me it gets to the threshold (100, 90, 85, 80)but doesn't stop, and the onboard charger continues to run until I manually stop it.

Its a bogus calc. That much juice would blow the battery! I could see this "maybe" if it was -30 temps and you left the car on for 12 hours to keep the battery warm! (=

Its some type of non-critical "charge complete" bug. Just sucks that the fan runs unless you fake out the charge like charging to full then unpluging/repluging to reset the preset target.

I just got confirmation the update is still on schedule for rollout today. It will go out in waves like all others.

Whoever gets the update please post here. I hope that I don't have to wait for other updates . Only update I've gotten has been 6.1.0 a few weeks ago.

My BEV Team coordinator seems to be missing in action, I've tried phone and email for the past three weeks, zilch.

This is awesome! I have been on 6.2 for over a month without getting any new updates. So I’m hoping this update does not have a prerequisite of the other updates.

Have you heard anything about this? Has anyone gotten it yet? Is it a numbered update or an unnamed update? I’ve been searching the forms every day to see if anyone has gotten this update and not seen anything.

I just got OTA 6.2 but that's an old one so I doubt it has the needed fix.
