Departure time doesn't work...
Screenshot_20230123_200957_FordPass.jpg
Is it a 120 or 240 V charger? 55 minutes on the charger and only 3 miles (2KWh?) added? But it estimates that charging will finish before 3 am, so maybe it was on the charger for 55 minutes, but didn't actually charge...

115 miles looks very low for 90% even for a standard battery. I'd expect at least 135 (1.5 miles per 1%, that is my experience in below-freezing city driving).
But I drive 150 to 175 miles twice a week to work
If you can't charge at work, the standard battery Mach-E is not for you.

But I drive 150 to 175 miles twice a week to work and I never get that kinda range,it was dealers responsibility to educate about how this works. Now they have blocked my number and don't even want to talk to me.
it isn’t their job at all to educate you on the product. There are manuals for YOU to read. Take some responsibility for your actions. It’s YOUR job to research and learn about what you’re buying. Same goes with if you’re buying any product at all.

Frankly you should look up the owners manual and read it. That’s going to be a good start.

I got mach premium and 3 weeks ago I charge it to 80% but range is like 115miles.Any one else with same issue...any suggestions to increase range.
You’ll get to about 170 mi range @ 80% when it gets warmer but will be 190-200 when you start charging @ 90%. My thought is that the ER is a better choice in cold weather but $7000 plus lost rebate makes that a tough decision.

Hi,
I have a standard range awd, currently with 49% battery showing 74 miles on GOM. I live in NY.
Few things you can do, the days you drive please precondition your battery and climate control, set in the car not in the ford pass app. And use climate control as needed ( heated steering wheel and seats are your friends here). And drive 55-60 mph if possible. These things will help you get 150 miles. And you can charge your car to 100 % the day you drive ( it has a top buffer , meaning the battery is not really 100% even though it says 100%. My two cents

It’s not the dealers responsibility to educate you. It’s your responsibility to educate yourself. You can ask them questions but ultimately it is up to you to be sure you’re getting the correct answers.

Welcome to EV ownership in the winter, good luck.
I have to disagree w/ this one. Nobody should be blindsided by something of that magnitude. You know if you take your EV to ford, even for an issue that has nothing to do with the powertrain, an EV q'd tech is the only one that can touch it. There's absolutely no reason why someone buying an above average priced car that has known limitations, that the customer should be ignorant of that fact.

Also -- Not all EVs suffer the same, the cobalt content of the battery is a variable in just how much 'loss' there is in cold weather. E-tron for instance has significantly less cold batt range issues.

Few things you can do, the days you drive please precondition your battery and climate control, set in the car not in the ford pass app.
The app departure time was supposed to have been patched on latest release.

Which is better whisper, engage or unbridled
Pick whichever mode you prefer. Same goes for 1PD or 2pd. I have stuck with 2 PD because I an an old fart and it feels the same as driving my Expedition. I also prefer Engaged. Whisper is super smooth and if I only drove in town I would use it. Every now and then I select Unbridled but the car is quick enough for me in Engaged. If there was more opportunity for wide open driving I would do more. If you are smooth on the brakes then regen in 2pd is equal to regen in 1 pd - basically you never use your friction brakes. Pro Tip - every so often as you coast down a hill switch to neutral and brake. That uses the friction brakes and cleans the rust off of the rotors. So in your case read up the owners manual. On the night before you head for work program in a departure time and also set the charge for 100%. That should get you to work. Question is do you have the ability to charge at work and get home? If so then the same thing there. Charge to 90% otherwise as suggested in manual.

On the days when you need to drive long distances, charge your car to 100%, precondition prior to departure, use only the seat and steering wheel heaters (much more efficient than heating the cabin), and don't drive overly fast. Good luck.

I wasn't told by dealer that it will loose the range...
Should have done some homework before you bought it. There are numerous posts on here about loss of range in the winter. Plenty of YouTubers telling the same story. Don't blame the dealer

There is no loss of range with a batt at temp. The car doesn't suddenly say "well, it's cold out, I'm just not going to go as far". It's strictly a function of batt temp and energy used. Where the surprise will come in is if someone isn't prepared for it and takes a trip somewhere, particularly overnight w/ out a charger present and gets into the vehicle after the batt dropped 50 degrees overnight. In that case I suggest someone to take their factory charger w/ the 120v dongle in it and an extension cord. Just keep it plugged in on arrival.

I keep my factory charger in the frunk on 120v with an extension cord. If I have a situation like that, I pull just enough of the charge cord out to plug it into the charge port, and then run the cord to a plug, and then with both cords coming out of the front of the frunk, I click it down 1 notch. That effectively closes it from the elements and theft / tampering.

The charger wholly remains in the frunk, only a little bit of the charger to car cord is out, and however much extension cord is required to reach an outlet. On 120v it only pulls 8 or 10 amps (get it confused w/ the bolt EUV which defaulted to 8, but allowed in-car manual adjustment to 12 amps), thus a cheapie 16ga extension cord can be used w/ out issue.

It pulls 12 amps, so a cheapie cord is not safe. 12 gauge.
