Ok, so now I have a new question. I'm going on a different trip in May and I will be staying at a "tiny house" that is right next to an RV park. I was about to email the RV park and enquire about their charge to let me fill up one of the nights I will be there and I notice that their spots are either 30 amp or 50 amp. Am I understanding correctly that I cannot use my Ford mobile charger on the 30 amp outlets? I'd need to plug into a 50 amp outlet (or at least 40 amp)?

Correct. The mobile charger will pull either the few amps via 120V or 32A via 14-50 plug.

I searched and I think I know the answers but I'd just like to confirm.
I'm going to Oklahoma from Dallas this Summer. I can make it on a full charge with 20% battery left according to ABRP. The problem is that there are NO public charging options in this town and I don't know how close I can get the car to an outlet at the cabin. I will be there 3 days with limited driving while there. Leaving the car plugged in to 110V will probably give me plenty of charge to get back to the first public super charger 135 miles away on my way back home. There is a dryer outlet in the cabin. From what I understand, I as long as I buy very high quality extension cables (110 or 220), I would be fine to use these occasionally without risk of damaging the car or causing a fire?
Do I need to verify a certain amp circuit at the breaker box before using one of these options?

Something like these?

Perfect. I want the same. What brand is it? And is it rated for 32amp or 40 amp?
Don't remember, just picked it up off Amazon.

Can't check as I'm a good 1k miles away from my Mach-E sadly.

Thank you!
I am looking for a heavy duty extension cord for L1 120V charging - wondering if you purchased one and How was your experience?
Could you share how many miles/hr were you getting with 120V?

Extension cords for charging aren't recommended due to the voltage drop, but if you must, make sure you get a 12 gauge cord. Brand doesn't really matter as long as it's 12 gauge. You can go to your local hardware or home improvement store and buy one. Buy the shortest one that will work for you.

3 miles per hour is the 120V rate.

Most people consider extension cords to be fire hazards, but I use one because I have to.

Most important ways to make things safer:

1. A good brand that's UL Listed
2. 12 gauge or even 10 gauge. The spec says 14 gauge should be OK for shorter runs but I'd spend the extra couple of bucks and err on the side of caution.
3. As short as possible.
4. If you really want to spend the extra money you can get a J1772 extension cord which is built to even higher tolerances and fault proof capabilities. But you're talking about 150-200 dollars.
5. Try not to use it too often, and inspect and change out your old cables for new ones periodically.
