Since the car comes with a level 2 charger, I simply had a 240 outlet installed for about $400. I asked for quotes and scheduled the install to occur after I took delivery. That way the electrician could check everything and ensure the car charges.

Other than that, I cannot think of anything. I don't have a garage, so we just purchased a cover for the days in which we do not go anywhere. Our driveway has absolutely no shade.

I wouldn't worry about signing up for third party charging unless you will be traveling and/or you do not intend to charge at home. I have only used EA and Francis chargers for one small road trip. My FordPass/Ford account was set up for plug and charge with EA, and I didn't need an app--just a credit card--to charge with Francis (and I don't care about membership because I live in Texas--I will only use Francis the few times I visit Oklahoma).

Since OP is in the UK, their choices for charging networks are different.

We installed our home charger after the buying (cancelled order), and used 110 for 3 miles per hour till we had the charger installed. I assume the UK vehicles come with a UK proprietary charger...

I signed up for multiple networks for our first trip so we were ready to go.

We had to have our free stand garage rewired. Someone, before us, wired the garage, nothing was to code and wired incorrectly. our cost $2200, (-1,000 tax rebate) now all is to code, including a 50 apm service. Just waiting on the car.

Make sure you get the card with your door pillar code. (Assuming the UK models have that feature....)
