Chip hold

My Mach e has been frozen “in production” since Jan 3rd. My dealer just told me my car has been noted as a “chip hold”. Seems self explanatory. Has anyone been through this status and how long did it hold up your order?

and Mine has been built and shipped since Dec 24th....next week will be 9 months since ordering on May 4th

Went into production 10/4. Got put on chip hold and wasn't "built" until 12/23. I'm thinking the 2022 chip holds should be quicker though since Ford is trying to increase production numbers. Also hopefully the supply chain issues will start to ease a bit more.

1) Yes.
2) Varies. Some are months. Some are days or weeks.

Yes multiple threads all over the forum on this if you want to see details. The holds have pushed back deliveries by multiple months from your original build and delivery date. I think there's some from a Oct 21 hold that haven't gotten their cars yet.

lol...mine was in production from the last week of September until December 30th.

Correct. 10/28 build date for me and mine is still sitting in Mexico.
