- 2022 Mach-E Premium 4X, 2022 Lightning Lariat ER
Many of us have cut openings and put in plastic plugs, there are threads showing the process. With all the smart people posting on the forum, I can't believe no one has devised an connection to both the positive terminal and the negative post, protruding through the frunk wall to attach a battery charger directly. This would eliminating the removal of the frunk center and side panels. I don't expect Ford to come up with a connection, but no one in the forum is up to the challenge.
I understand the minimum charge level of the LVB, but the hassles and inconvenience is crazy in such an advanced machine. If break controllers for a trailer are nothing more then a plug in connection; why can't the same principle be applied to a battery tender?

I just bought two SAE receptacles to make it easier to connect my Battery Tenders. The Lightning is going in the front fender wall, haven't figured out the Mach-E location. Probably the frunk area. Easy to open frunk on it, Lightning I can't access frunk when truck is pulled into the garage.
