Sounds like Predictive Speed Assist is turned on with a tolerance of +15 mph. Look in Driver Assistance, Adaptive Cruise Control, Predictive Speed Assist.

You can turn off Predictive Speed Assist or dial down the tolerance.

Note: This is not the same as Speed Limit Assist. The maximum there is only 5 mph.
Great point on speed assist.

Speed limit assist just makes the speed limit sign on the dashboard blink when your 5 mi over I could use a bell when I'm 10 mph over the speed limit

Predictive speed assist for cruise control needs to be a bit more adjustable. I used to have it 5 mph over but when you're in a 30mph zone doing 25mph you'll run up fast much like the OP complains. Doing 70 I'll take 9 over if I'm on a highway road trip.

Multiple settings maybe at every 10 mph for a road trip would be great. I would gladly take the time to set these before a trip and turn them off for around town.

But this touch screen has so many menus buried 3 taps deep it's hard to justify turning some features on and off.

I had to turn it off. It kept reading the speed limit signs on exit ramps and slowing me down on the highway. I just have to pay attention by hand. It does still show the speed limit on the instrument cluster, though....

Feel free to ask questions if you can't find an answer to things. That's a major reason to have a forum in the first place. 1) Dealers in my expereince so far are clueless about what the Mach-E should do, can do or will do. 2) The Ford Manual is not intuitive at all. I won't use the on-screen in car version, the interface is just terrible unless you already know what you want and where to find it. 3) the manual is sometimes WRONG, ie Park Assist or Foot Operated Lift Gate.

From your Ford account on the web you can either use the html version of the manual or just download the PDF. The PDF is much faster for searching if you can narrow down the search.
Thanks. What I like about a forum is you get color to answers and not just the facts. I'm coming from several S550 mustangs and there is so much new tech. The Mach E is mostly for my wife so I have to figure things out for her.

I think we are in the same area. I'm outside Nashville. (East)

Very true, whenever I pass one of our local walking/bike/etc trail intersections, there's 20 mph speed limit signs on those trails for whatever reason.

At points these trails run parallel to road. I'll be driving at 45-55 mph and the MME recognizes the 20 mph sign and aggressively shows down before I can turn off cruise control.

Found the setting. Thanks. The weirdest thing was when you would past a sign that had your current speed limit and it would increase the setting.
Not weird at all, since the setting we're referring to is how much to ADD to the sign it sees or has in the database.

I'm new to the Mach E and this forum, glad there are gatekeepers here. I did a search since it didn't come with a users manual and didn't find anything a. Others here were helpful and I found where they pointed.
It did come with a user's manual, built into the center screen. And, in FordPass. And, downloadable to every device you own in PDF form.

After three years, I still haven’t decided if I want +5 or +9

If the speed limit is 60, I want +9. If it’s above 70, I want +5 to conserve fuel economy.
I have settled on +4 (km/hr). Then I bump it up to where I want it with my thumb.

My problem is on the main Calgary to Banff National Park Transcanada Highway the speed limit is 110km/hr the entire way (baring construction), but the database and sign recognition keeps bouncing between 100 and 110, with a few 80 zones that were construction zones a year or two ago. So, it's not useful on my primary highway stretch.

There's a toll bypass highway that avoids Austin where the speed limit is 85. I usually set mine to 75 because fuel economy above 80 pretty much has you losing more time to an extra charging stop than the time you save
