Some factors that appear to weigh on the production delivery time in US: a) dealer assigned priority(With $1500 deposit, I got 19 and want to know why so low), b) dealer advantage in Ford's ordering queue (I blindly chose a dealer near me.), c) Ford's allocations of total production to US customers(25K of 2021 go to US out of total production of ~65K, d) microchip shortages (worst last summer, said to be better now), e) battery shortages (undetermined), e) Ford's batch production runs that favor certain models (undetermined), f) rail and truck distribution problems (undetermined, seems to vary by State and distance of dealership), g) quality control (shipping incomplete, flawed, or damaged units that must be fixed before delivery to customer). No doubt there are more.
I am trying to get better understanding from the dealer that I ended up with about a) and b). This website may help with understanding the rest. I've found no enlightenment regarding c), Ford's production distribution algorithm.
