Well I finally got the call and picked up the car today! I’ve only driven it about 4 miles but so far everything seems to be fine. Here’s the final repair documentation
Now the bad news…. I discovered a gash in the rear bumper right over the reverse light. So it looks like someone backed into something and nicked it. Luckily I did a walk around inspection at the dealer and caught it there. I have to go back on Monday since the manager was already gone for the day.
So the saga has not ended yet!

Good thing is, that is an easy fix!
Thanks for sharing your HVB issue/experience and all the details. If this ever happens to me, I will be able to "help" my dealer go down the right path to get it fixed.
