I ordered the CA RT 1 AWD extended battery back in October of 21. I paid the $500 deposit on line, then called a few dealers, chose one, went in and signed some papers which I do not have (my bad- I thought they would be stored on my Ford website account?). Anyhow, car finished production and is being shipped, I checked the website to see if there was an update, and noticed the dealer price was added - NEVER saw that before- and it was $2900 more than when I configured the car and ordered it 6 months ago!!!! I will call dealer tomorrow, but has this happened to anyone, and what did you do? I don't have anything documenting original price. So unethical.

If you signed some papers they may have a file. My dealer did which contained the original prices. Check with them for this information. I also read where someone had this issue but it was only an across the board increase to all of the dealers incoming vehicles. The ADM was removed from their deal. I hope your issues can be resolved. You are taking the right approach to contact them right away.

My guess is the $2900 is not ADM but is tied to the December price increase, which you might get denied if you can resurrect documentation of your deal in October.

Ignore the online price.

That’s the price for other people if you refuse delivery. You have an agreement with the dealer for your own ā€œspecial price.ā€

My car showed an ADM online too. I got X plan. No worries. Sleep well.

I honestly wouldn’t say squat to the dealer about it. You have an agreed price. Go into delivery assuming that.

it is unethical...
contact @Ford Motor Company , give them the dealer name, and if they can't'encourage' the dealer to see the error of their ways, pick a different Dealer and see if you can change your designated Dealer.... or cancel

Likely the price increase. You are protected. Likely a non-issue.

While the torches and pitchforks have already come out, I would bet that @Tom L is on the right track. Ford has a program in place for people that ordered prior to the price increase.

It’s not anything the dealer did. Please read the post again and you’ll see that the online order details changed and OP hadn’t yet spoken to the dealer about that.

Everyone placing an online order/reservation should print it out completely immediately from ford.com. It’s amazing how many folks don’t do this simple thing to protect themselves. We that have been through this thing realize how important this documentation is.

Memories are short and price increases are many.
