Sounds like a combo of vehicle, phone vendor, and Dec update.

I am on Pixel with their Dec update for over a week. Pretty stable.
Yeah it definitely seems to be specific to Samsung's December update.

Now the question. Is Samsung aware of the problem? Do we have to contact them and how, or has Ford already contacted them?

Fantastic. Thank you for taking the lead and submitting the bug report for the rest of us.
Thank you. Unfortunately, my experience with Samsung means this isn't getting fixed anytime soon, if ever, if it's their issue.

The number of global users with both a Samsung phone and a Mach-E is probably pretty limited. Which likely means this won't be a priority, sadly.

I specifically left Samsung and refuse to return to them after severe problems with an S23 Ultra maintaining Android Auto connection with my MME. I swapped over to the Pixel 8 Pro (P8P) and it's been rock solid since.

To be clear: this is not direct or indirect criticism of anyone who enjoys Samsung's products. :) I was just frustrated beyond words that a flagship device was so horribly managed by Samsung. I carried both the S23 Ultra and the P8P: to test them both for a couple of months to see if Samsung could recover from the One UI 6.x.x update(s) that broke their AA Wireless software for my use. They didn't, so I sold the S23 Ultra off and have been happy enough since.

I wish you all luck with this and do hope that Samsung fixes their error for everyone here!

I know we mme users are not even a drop of water in the ocean of Samsung users but Ford could also put in a little pressure. They are selling a product that depends on Samsung to give a positive user experience and I might affect sales.

We are aware of issues that customers with certain Android devices are having with using Phone-As-A-Key (PaaK) function to start their vehicle, after a recent mobile operating system software update. While we work to resolve the issue with our technology partners, we recommend customers utilize their key fobs, Securicode keypad or PaaK to lock or unlock their doors, frunk or trunk. To start the vehicle, the key fob or Backup Passcode will be required. If you don’t have a Backup Passcode, learn how to set up here. If you already have a Backup Passcode enabled, please do not delete the PaaK Device Keys in the FordPass app, or conduct a reset of PaaK as either will revoke your vehicle access.

I've had my 2022 MACH-E for 2&1/2 years now and the bluetooth connection to my Android phone has been very unreliable since day 1. Some times it connects, sometimes it doesn't, MACH-E's interface claims 'connection to phone failed' about 30% of the time. Restarting the phone makes no difference, restarting the car seldom works either. Very frustrating.
