So far I'm loving my CA Route 1. A couple things that bother me:

- Headrest can't be adjust for tilt. It's angled far too forward for me
- Cargo cover feels cheap. It flaps around like crazy if you have your windows down. I'd much rather have a hard cover or retractable cover.
- The charger door. It's a pain to close and feels flimsy. I feel like I'm going to break it every time I close it.
- The windshield wiper/turn signal stalks feel cheap.

So … instead of last decade you prefer 6+ decades ago? ;)

I think it’d be officially “retro.” :p
Actually, I would prefer something like my wife's 2016 Lincoln MKZ (see attached photo) or the piano key layout od the 2021 Lincoln Corsair.
While I'm ranting about the MKZ compared to yje MME, how about the programmability of the dash screen. Both the left and right sections are fully selectable. Also, how about the energy use, again like the MKZ. While I'm at it, why do I have to wait for ~2 miles before I get an energy use value that is just an average and no instantaneous readout. And where is the regen icon that actually tells me that the car is generating energy. The regen symbol was available on the MKZ Hybrid. The instantaneous AND average energy use were both displayed on my Bolt!

Instead I get a huge icon of the car and it is surrounded by bubbles when the Lane Keeping Assist is on.

But wait, there's more! How about the ability to switch between front and rear cameras without shifting between R & D (as was available in the (again) Bolt.

The Lincoln design team has different goals than the Ford design team. Obviously. :)

My guess is if you really prefer Lincoln then in a year or two there will likely be a Lincoln version using the MME drivetrain and it might be more to your liking. Trade!

The front seat headrest tilt might be adjustable?

I have a Premium MME so I'm not sure if this is different, but next time you're in one of the front seats, try pulling the top of the headrest towards your head. Once it's tilted all the way forward, it will spring back to the most upright position.

The back seat headrests don't tilt on this vehicle.

1. A wireless charger that actually works
2. A better display for the EV driver:
2A. Show a minimum and maximum range indication, not just nominal
2B. Show current KW usage, including regen and charging KW
2C. Provide a trend vector for range, based on current driving conditions
2D. Provide an indication when regen is active
3. Provide a setting for regen strength
4. A temperature display of actual outside ambient temperature
So, basically look at what the Bolt has!

Take it to a dealer for warranty work. You don’t have an OEM windshield. ;)
haha! Well there is a Ford logo in the driver's bottom corner, so I suspect it is the proper windshield. (And if it is a defect then it's one I'm happy about.)

The front seat headrests on my FE are not tiltable, which is very annoying, especially as the manual suggests that some models do have tiltable headrests. Very odd that they don't all have that.

The ability to set the charge rate via software like the Teslas and Bolts can. Sometimes I don't need my car to draw the max current on my L2 home charger because I have plenty of time. Yes I know I can schedule charging and do. But to tell the car "only pull 5Kw instead of the max".
IIRC the Bolt only had the option to set the charge rate when charging at 120V. The options were 8 or 12 amps.

Also, the Bird's Eye View is choppy, again the Bolt was not choppy.

That is annoying, indeed. :( This might be a N.A. versus U.K. difference?

Actually everything in the dash display was the same in the 2013 Ford Fusion Energi we had before the Lincoln MKZ Hybrid. The only real difference is that the MKZ has the push button shifter whereas the Fusion had a console shifter. So it is not just a Lincoln thing.

Here is a picture of the 2013 Ford Fusion Dash Display. The vehicle is off so the two side panels don't show anything but it was the same for the Lincoln!
