Desperate for help with dealership - Ford Options Plan

I bought my car in July and my dealer could only find the Ford Options with 7.25% interest! I was like um no its 2.5%...i gave them all the finance codes and they still couldn't find it. I probably shouldn't have but signed it anyway knowing i only got the Ford Options to get the $2500 rebate and paid it off with a new Loan from my Credit Union. Lots of dealers still having trouble understanding this car and finance options.

It's disheartening when you look at the fine print and it just doesn't match up - like seriously deceptive - I just want to make a fair honest deal.

Sorry to ramble on, but some more points:

1. At first they also told me that the Ford Options retail cash ($1000) was a "private offer" and they could not give it to me. Then they said they found it.
2. They told me the first payment needed to be made at delivery, which I am ok with, but then considered that as part of my "down payment" line. Is that correct? That left me with 47 payments at the agreed rate plus a single balloon payment which matched the amount I got from Ford Financing.

You came to the right place, hybrid2bev is very knowledgable and helped me from making a similar mistake, I ended up switching dealerships and had to order a new vehicle. Should be arriving the second week of November.

this brings up an interesting point. Doesn't the dealer have a contact phone number at ford credit to help them with things like this? I mean the average person who hasn't done their own research could literally be sold a bill of goods. I mean OP is being offered a lease and claiming it's options. That leads to lots of issues, not least of all the loss of the $7500 tax credit.

I wonder how much of this shitty dealer behavior is so that you will walk away from the car and they can sell it with ADM and how much is just crap ethics coming to play because of the shortage of options for the customer.

I think you‘re giving them too much credit. Some dealers just don’t know any other way to do business.

Can’t sleep thinking about my gameplan for my appointment in the morning. Should I be concerned that the lender name in the contract is NOT “Ford Credit” and is instead some unkown LLC? My instinct tells me they are trying to use one of their lenders instead of Ford Credit but they were adamant “it’s the same thing”.

It is the same thing.

I leased our 2018 Fusion Energi. On the lease is Cab West LLC.

I look back on my buying experience and think how lucky I was they were straightforward with me on the whole process from online ordering thru to delivery.

Fair enough, but you stated you have a lease and not Ford Options. I spoke to Ford Credit this morning and they said the same about CAB East/west but said that was typically for leases only. Please be careful out there. If the title is in the lease companies name there may be difficulties in getting your federal tax credit. This is exactly what I am trying to avoid.
