According to EPA, it's classified as a small SUV.

I agree and I don't mean to imply otherwise.Still means it is a Mustang. It’s right there in the name.
I loaded my MME with 2 full Costco flatbed carts and it all fit!! It wouldn’t have in a “car”! So, seeing how much cargo I can put inside it, I consider it a fun, fast, sleek SUV!!!I've been willing to call my Mach-E an SUV for the past year until I got my federal tax credit. Now I'm now calling it a car. It's a little taller than most cars, but I'd say it's a lot shorter than most SUV's. It's funny that some people have raised their Mach-E's, and others have lowered. To each their own. I suppose you could call it a "Hatchback", but that doesn't really suit it either. My previous car could fold the back seats down and have way more space than the Mach-E with seats folded. Not a lot of storage space. Barely enough for 2 sets of golf clubs with the seats up. I did bring my golf clubs to dealer last winter just to make sure they fit (deal breaker).
I considered waiting for the Blazer EV. I'm glad I didn't. Funny, I think the Blazer EV is more of an SUV than the Mach -E. But there are definitely similarities.I guess I’d compare it to a Blazer EV which Chevy calls an SUV. I was planning to buy one but the first ones did not have key features I wanted so I cancelled and here I am.
The Blazer is, legitimately, an SUV though. It's tall and vaguely truck-ish, Chev's stylistic attempts notwithstanding.I guess I’d compare it to a Blazer EV which Chevy calls an SUV. I was planning to buy one but the first ones did not have key features I wanted so I cancelled and here I am.
Anything with wheels is theoretically a truck to a FarmerFarmer's insurance considers it a truck.
