Prior to the updated settings screen we had a Personal Profile button. The owners manual, both printed and digital version said, “Go to the Personal Profiles button”, to link key fob to profile. I do not have a personal profile button on the screen. Do you?

Ford Technology In Vehicle support, had no answer. So the best thing to do is go to the experts, THIS FORUM.

That lets you switch between the profiles that are setup or edit them by clicking the pencil icon for the currently selected profile.

Edit is where you can link or unlink fob or phones.

And where do you change which memory seat goes with which profile!

I can’t find that anymore.

Yeah, you must touch the upper right profile button. Then you’re able to edit the profiles. I was puzzled until someone helped me out. Good luck

the seat/mirror memory positions are tied to the remote/paak and the remote/paak are connected to the profile. there are some exceptions and conditions you might want to review more thoroughly in the manual though - check the "Linking or Unlinking a Personal Profile" section.

And there USED to be a thing in the profiles which told you which memory seat button went with each profile.

But it’s not there anymore.

You make sure to activate your desired profile. Then you hold the memory button down until the car beeps. The button then gets associated with the currently active profile and the seat/mirror positions. ?

Seems to work.

The problem though is remembering whose setting is whose.

If I don’t remember that my wife is memory seat 1 and I’m 2, I might accidentally overwrite her setting by holding down 1 while on my profile.

No clue why they removed the info from profiles. Seems like a miss.

Today wanted to rearrange my and wife profiles with memory seats position and only one way to do this was to delete and create profiles from the scratch. Really @Ford Motor Company ?!!! There is "Link memory" when creates profile? But why "Unlink memory" is missing?!!

Add profile:

I think earlier in this thread it was stated that all that needs to be done is select the desired profile and then press and hold the desired seat number. That associates the current profile with the just set seat number.

No need to delete the profiles to change the number associated with the profile.

Just came across this myself after I got a new phone.

Don’t know why, but they deleted the “Profiles” menu item under “Settings.” It used to be there and you could see all the things associated with each profile, including seat positions, PAAK and phones. It’s still in the User’s Manual as if it was never deleted.
