We knew about the toggles in SYNC not being there (See Ford post here: https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/bluecruise-1-3-software-update-and-sliders-explained.37648/). Ford is planning further OTAs to enable that.

The current OTA is only enabling lane change and in lane repositioning features in the IPMA, which we just confirmed is NOT happening when done via FDRS.
Ok that is what I suspected. So I only need to change the as built config in the IPMA and reboot the sync screen and I should be good to go?

You would need to make edits to the IPMA to get the actual features working. If you want to have the toggle sliders in SYNC to turn the settings on and off on the fly, you can also edit the APIM but it is not necessary to have the features working.

After making edits to the IPMA you would only need to power cycle the IPMA, but I would just do a power cycle on the car.

Ok done. I now have BC 1.3 working on my 22 GT PE. Thank you to this forum!

Yes, I called Ford tech support. I’ve had this screen under software updates for over a month now. But I’m starting to see reports on here and Facebook that maybe they’ve started up again.

I was in exactly the same boat. Yesterday the update was re-pushed and the update applied successfully.

I'll make some of the 21 model owners feel better by stating that my model 23 has not received BC 1.3 yet.
'23 Job 1 updated from 1.2 to 1.3 yesterday.

When Ford announces what's coming, I no where near hear anything they stated as though it was my dad talking.

Or put another way, marketing-speak is nothing like dad-speak.

I get the point though. And I even get the disappointment. I just don't get nearly as offended.
I agree. Dad speak should be held to his word. Marketing speak can spew lies for decades without accountability. :lipssealed:
Do what you say you’re going to do when you say you’re going to do it.
This seems to have died in the last decade.
I haven’t found that to be true at all. I have 2021 and have all the updates except the BC 1.3 currently. I’m usually just a bit behind when i see people on here post they got an update.
You are one of the chosen. I know of a sword you could probably pull out of a stone :)
We should just be thankful that Ford is committed to updating all cars, even the first model year. Got to remember that before the Mach-E platform, updating full vehicles over the air wasn’t even a thing for Ford. They have made tremendous progress over the last few years.
We think all cars. But since there's a on/off switch they control, and it's got some logic behind who gets what and when, I can't see them updating all cars. More so with the few that are stuck back in the 4.x releases. I don't even think they have a claim to get the dealers to force update them past 4.x in order get back into the all cars updated queue.
The way I look at the OTA updates is it's great for those that live under the idea that the car wil constantly get new features etc. (They're living in a story, but they believe it none the less. Ford controls the story, or the lying dealer does). It's good that updates CAN come over the air. But give me the ability to grab a file from S3 and pop on a USB stick any day over waiting for the mythical tap to turneth on and hope my sacrifice pleases the gods whence they bestow upon me an update that completeth that doesn't bricketh my method of mobility.
I'd love to see the hard numbers on where this fleet of vehicles sits by way of updates available and those that are updated. I think there is far fewer cars 'up to date' than we think. But we do like to believe the story that they are updating all cars, e
In the same boat as you are. Over a month now. Called Ford multiple times and all they have to say is that we need to wait for the server to send it out to us again. I don't think it's coming for a few more months at the very lest.
This is like reading the last 2 pages of a book half way through and spoiling it.

Aww you're too sweet :)

It showed up on my car this morning on my way to work. I almost updated it there, but was a bit weary of the 95 minute down time. Updated once I got home tonight and am looking forward to tomorrow's drive to check it out.

got the "not completed" message the first time over the summer and it was successful last night. Even had the opportunity everyone looks forward to: re-disabling things like ask on exit etc.
