Drive Mode Unavailable?

Has anyone experienced this? This has been happening alot lately! All of a sudden I can not select a drive mode and I am in whatever mode!

Yes, this is a well documented bug that Ford is aware of and the fix should be coming "soon".

Yes, you should be able to reselect a drive mode after a few seconds and everything is back to normal.

Welp, that's the way it happens for most folks and myself, anyways, it's a known bug. You can try doing a Sync restart to get it come back.

Yes, you should be able to reselect a drive mode after a few seconds and everything is back to normal.

I've had it go for 5-10 minutes and keep dropping back to "drive mode not available". In other words, push Unbridled, as an example, and it just gives the same error, over and over and over again for quite some time. Other times it will only be a few seconds to a minute and it'll let me. It's very random.

Sometimes it takes a few more seconds than others. And sometimes it takes them several times...

Yeah, I get it from time to time. I use Unbridled 100% of the time and I'll be tooling down the freeway and all of a sudden, the car 'keeps going' when I lift the go pedal... It's not supposed to do that.

And I'll see it says Drive Mode Unavailable. Open the config panel and sure enough, no modes selected. Hit Unbridled and its back to normal.


for 2 or 3 miles then it does it again. The second time it usually stays.


Haven't done the two-Finger SYNC dance for it though.

I've owned the car for just over 2 years and probably 3 times in that time frame; I've had this happen. It lasts a few min or until next time care is off-->on. No biggie.
