It is new tire time and I am falling into paralysis by analysis.....DWS06+ or Quatrac Pro.

Anybody have some mileage on either of these? Thoughts on life with them?

I've used the DWS06 on my last 4 performance ICE vehicles with terrific success. However, the 'motor music' may have masked road noise.

Just looking for an all 'around good athlete'. Price of the Quatrac Pro is attractive. Do I hold or fold on the DWS06 in this application?

I have the DWS06+ on my 2022 Premium 4X in the 245 width. There is an unnoticeable amount of range loss. The tire is not noisy. On OEM 19” rim.

I've been really happy with the DWS 06+ on our GT. I can't speak to treadwear (they have less than 10k) but they are quieter than the stock GT tires and we're not noticing any appreciable range loss.

The tires aren't in the same class. Quatrac Pro is a grand touring all season while the DWS is ultra high performance all season. Quatrac will probably be a hair quieter and more comfortable and maybe better snow performance but will be outclassed in any performance category by the DWS06+

While not directly comparable as they weren't in the same test, compare the lateral grip in their test.

Quatrac Pro (Dry/Wet) - .90/.72 source

DWS06+ - .94/.74 source

I've used the original DWS in another car and currently using the Quatrac Pro in my MME. For winter/snow use, the Quatrac wins hands down. I haven't tried the DWS06+, but I have a feeling it's a bit sportier than the Quatrac. Since you're in MO, I think the DWS06+ would be a better option for you.

Everyone above that have given their opinions of these two tires are right on the money. The DWS 06 Plus would be the tire I would go with if you are looking for a high performance all season tire between the two. It is decently quiet, rides very well and has only a slight loss in range compared to the OEM tire. The Quatrac Pro is an extremely quiet tire that rides very smooth and also does very well in light snow. However it has one disadvantage that keeps coming up in many tests and that is higher than normal rolling resistance. So if you are at all concerned about range, I would stick with the DWS 06 Plus.

I will say that I haven't noticed much, if any, range loss - but of course YMMV. I downsized it to 18", but upped the width to 235, plus I have a RWD.

Good summary; thanks. I did not know about the rolling resistance of the Quatrac. That is fascinating as I would not have guessed that...I would probably guess the opposite.

I do realize these tires are of different classes. I was thinking it might be time to move on from the DWS. I'm older, now. I no longer drive it like I stole it. Rather, I drive it like I want to keep my HVBJB contactor.

Another vote for the DWS06. I moved out of the Chicago area 20 years and the weather is surprisingly way different here. We do not deal with a lot of snow....some...but not a lot. The problem is our city/county does not deal with the snow, either, so 1-2" becomes a traffic snarl.

If you used dws06 in the past, the plus is a pretty nice upgrade. I have had both now and the plus really makes it like a different tire with respect to how stable and responsive it is compared to the older model.

I just looked at some old invoices and they are all for the 'Plus' on 3 different ICE applications. Sounds like these tires will be equally impressive on a BEV. The Forum's work, here, is done! Thanks.

Thanks all.

Officially done; DWS06+ and rims for winter. The tires are great; factory size. Also, the AOSK jacking pucks are fabulous.

I broke from the pack and went Pirelli P Zero All Season Plus Elect. Loving them. DWS06+ was my 2nd choice though.
