I happen to be in the message center and noticed there was an ā€œElectrical System Drainā€ alert on a day my car never left the garage. I have two questions I hope the group can answer.

1) Does anyone know how to setup real time alerts for this error message? I’d of course want to know if I was at work and my battery was draining.

2) Does anyone know if bluetooth could be the culprit? I don’t use any aftermarket accessories so nothing should be draining the battery unless my movement in my home kept waking up the car.

thanks in advance!

Predictive analytics at its best! I wonder how they missed the HVBJB issues with this level of AI prowess!

On a more serious note, had the same issue happen to me. On Dec 30, got a low LVB and electrical drain. Put the car on a 15 amp charger / 3 amp maintainer combo. Took 2 hours to bring SoC from 43 to 89%, then another 28 hours to 100%. I have not driven the car since, but LVB SoC is still in 90% range. Proactively deactivated my PaaK cause I noticed that it stays connected via bluetooth at the Airbnb where I’m staying (I don’t know if this contributed to the problem, but since this is not an issue at home, I’m okay with using a workaround for now). It’s worth noting that my car had the HBVJB changed last week as part of the recall.

Weird.

We got the same message this morning. 2023 P4X

The car is charged to 90% and was just sitting in the driveway unplugged.

There were no personal devices plugged in inside the car.

I am guessing Ford's notification system sent out the message by mistake

Not in my case. My low voltage battery was at 43%. It was perfectly justified.

You guys can follow the 12 volt threads by Mach-Lee to maintain your batteries. The 2-3 threads have troves of useful information.

Where do you store your fob? Does the car see the fob when parked at home?

The future telling is impressive! ?

How do you know your PaaK is staying connected?

It said so on the FordPass app, under the start button.

I get this message every once in a while. Happens anytime the 12V gets a little low. Especially if I do t drive for a week or it’s super cold out. I have a parasitic draw from an always on dashcam. Still on my original 12V battery. It’ll charge back up when you drive. I wouldn’t let it bother you unless you start seeing it frequently.

Probably. I hang the fob on a key hook 5 feet from the car. Interesting because we do the same thing with my wife’s Ford Edge.

The car and fob are properly constantly chatting. Keeping the fob this close will keep the car in a ā€œreadyā€ state. Your welcome lights may be coming on and off all night.

It should only trigger if the fob is moved in and out of range. Once it’s static, there should be no more activity. I usually leave the fob in the car, but have also left it on my workbench a few feet from the car. I’ve never once gotten a 12V battery message in almost 3 years of ownership.

I get this when I walk by my MME at work sometimes. I'm assuming that, because I'm in the vicinity of the car with my phone, it wakes the car up and starts using the 12v battery for accessories.

Just my theory. I don't have any cameras or 3rd party stuff plugged in. I've never taken the car in for service and it works fine after the message.

Did you activate PaaK?
