Emergency key

Hi, my key fob has an emergency key inside it.
How can this open my mach e when there are no doors handles?
Also, looking at videos for other Ford cars, all of the keys are blanks. Does this mean you can get into any Ford car?

The key is blank because it wasn't cut since you have no locks. It is cut on vehicles with locks, or locking glove boxes, or locking center consoles.

The Mach E fab is the same part that is shared with many other Fords. For example the ICE Mustang as well as the F150. On those vehicles there will be an external lock cylinder on the driver's door, possibly covered by a removable panel. If you have one of those vehicles, the hidden blank will be cut to match that lock cylinder. The Mach E has no external lock cylinders, so the blank is not cut and is functionally useless.

Since you’re in the UK, I believe you can also use it to turn the switch to deactivate the passenger airbag. Of course, you could also just use a screwdriver.

I use it to pry the plastic cover off the battery compartment of the key.

Doesn‘t look like that’s an option for the UK version of the fob since the emergency key is behind the cover.

Is that key Europe-specific? All of my keys (including 2 Lightning keys) separate into two pieces to reveal the physical "key". I haven't seen one like that where it's inside the fob.

It's UK specific. Fobs there are required to go to sleep to prevent relay attacks. As a result, they get a more generic Ford fob.
