My google skills fail me on the web and on the forum. i have only been able to find articles from last year After Update, Ford Mustang Mach-E Charges Faster Beyond 80% SOC! (insideevs.com) Ford Mustang Mach-E First Edition In-Depth DC Fast Charging Analysis (insideevs.com) but this is pre fast charging software update due to the recall for bad contactors. the assumption being that to fix the contactors from welding shut they may have changed the charging profile. does anyone have a current charge profile for the fast charger. i dont fast charge often but i have tried at several 150KW stations and i have never seen more then 70 delivered even when at like 20%. from the graphs it only likes 150 is ever reached for like the first few % from 0%.

my hope is someone has had some updated data from current software / ford making enhancements

For me, DCFC has not gotten any slower... however there are differences in sustained speed from charger to charger due to battery temperature and other things.

The max rate remains 1.5C for both the SR and ER batteries. The sustained rate falls off fairly quickly from peak which has to do with battery heating.

Temperature has a lot to do with what you can put into the battery at this time of year in the Northeast.

Also, the DCFC unit itself could be throttling you for one reason or another (maintenance issue, etc).

multiple units through the state and it was during gold locks season not to hot not to cold. not looking to troubleshoot the issue as it may not even be a issue could just be the performance curve that ford has programed just wonder if somone has a current set of curves etc...

yes one of the electrify america 150's was only putting out 49 at a time and happen be it the maint crew was at that parking lot working on other units their and they where like yea bay 1 2 of the 3 power modules are bad but we cant get them right now to repair so thats why its only doing 50 instead of 150, but here move the car to this bay with is fully working we just checked and i only got like 70 out of it

Those are the OLD EA units. I charged there once over the summer and when the cooling system engaged, it was really loud, almost like it was struggling to come on. My daughter was like "Does that mean there is a problem with this charger?" It worked fine on that day, but I'm not surprised it broke shortly after.

Hopefully, they replace with the new 350kW units that can combine/divide output based on who's plugged in.

I don't DCFC often enough to give you any more data points on your charge curve question. My car has always been lower than my expectations about what the car spec says I should be able to put in with DCFC.

No changes to DCFC have been made since the HVBJB fix came out. The only difference has been post-80%; a lot of us are seeing only 36ish kW instead of the 44+kW after the OBCC update last year.

Source: I made the video posted by InsideEVs, and I use DCFC on EA quite frequently (in fact, just made a 600 mile drive with it last weekend).

this is great info but yeh not great performance, maybe i dont know enough but seems like they advertise this as a 150 when really it uses that for a few minutes then trends 100 and drops. not what i would call great performance

Hmm, fast enough for me, all vehicles have charging curves, I wouldn’t worry about it, the difference in time saved is minimal
