I have the climate controls. I am interested in knowing how my server side was activated. Any insights out there?
At Ford, a room of people are working 24/7. Each VIN that comes up is discussed by the team. After a discussion, the team leader asks "Is Tomm activation worthy"? If they cannot agree that you are, no activation for you. If they tie, they resort to the tie breaker methodology:

Ford Mustang Mach-E Ford App - New Start/Stop button {filename}

try turning off wifi on your phone and using cellular..
No.

When you tap the Stop charging button in the top right it will pause charging for 8 hours. Charging will automatically resume after 8 hours if the car is still plugged in.
Where did you get 8 hours from? Never heard that before.

Is your EVSE (charger) a "smart" charger that allows you to set your preferred charge times? If you have your charger controlling your charging window instead of (or in addition to) having the car control the charging times, then your EVSE might be rejecting the car's request for power. I have a "smart" charger, but I turn off most of the smart features and let the car handle all the timing logic. And the "start" button in FordPass should override the car's preferred charge times (but not EVSE configured times). At least, that's the way it works with my EVSE and MME...
EE here. Preferred charging times and charge limits are not a function of having g a smart “charger”. The level 2 chargers at our homes are for all intents a glorified power distribution unit, the actual charger is in the car itself. Setting the preferred times, etc is a function of programming the car for when it will accept a charge.

There are plenty of "glorified power distribution units" (EVSE) that have so-called "smart" features, including allowing a person to set preferred times of when it is allowed to distribute power (including my Autel one). I was just pointing out to the person (jpinFLX) who was having an issue using the FordPass Start button "outside of the charging window" that they might be having that issue because their EVSE had a charge window set, and so when instructing the car to begin charging with the Start button in FordPass, it would just spin because the EVSE was rejecting it because it had its own charge window set... The Start button in FordPass will override the car's charge window, but not if the EVSE refuses to send power...
