For those of us who bought bourbon MME long ago that we got the electrify America charging bucks, is there any remaining way to check the balance? I think the app used to show but the more recent iterations do not. In general it seems ford's connection to electrify America is a lot weaker - you now need to activate a specific charger from the app not just plug it in. Anyone know why?

FYI you can edit your posts if you make typos.

Currently the only way to see your remaining free EA balance is to charge at an EA station and look at the remaining balance on the receipt they email you afterwards.

Plug & Charge should still work fine on EA if you have a valid credit card on file and previously set it up. (Works for me.)

Thanks, couldn't see the link on phone to edit (is obvious on laptop). Not sure why automatic EA is not working. I charge rarely outside of the house, so not a huge big deal.

Related question: I still had a balance from the original 250kWh I got when I bought my '21. Since I traded in for a '24 in August, do they wipe out the old balance? I tried doing a P&C at EA, but there was one more setting in FordPass that I didn't know I had to change, so I had to swipe my card.

(Of course, I can just go to an EA and plug-in to see what happens.)

It's tied to the vehicle, and is then eliminated when a new owner takes possession. After June 1 of this year, no more free 250kWh of charging with a new purchase.

As I recall, the points expired after two years, so that may help. I ended up losing some because every time I went to my nearest EA charger to use them up it was down or occupied. “Free” doesn’t account for your time.

That's for points. Charging credit worked for me after almost 3 years. But I traded my '21 in and I was wondering if I still could use my unexpired credit. So, yesterday I went by the nearest EA charger to check it out, and see if I had activated P&C. Wow, the 4 chargers were in use, and there were additional cars waiting.

Now I'm glad I replied, because I didn't use up my credit within two years (I just always charge at home) and figured it was expired! Especially since, as was said, it isn't easy to figure out how much credit remains anymore. But what I misread to mean the credit expires after two years is this: "Besides the 250 kWh fast charging credit, Ford offers also two years of complimentary access to the FordPass Charging Network."

So now I have this question: do you need to pay for the Blue Oval Network subscription to access the charging credit?

I have seen three years complimentary access posted elsewhere, but that also seems incorrect. If you go to owner dot ford dot com and look at Connected Services, there is no expiration or trial associated with BOCN, like there is for other services. And I've never seen a price posted for a subscription to it.

Weird, since the word "subscription" implies a fee. NOT that I have ever misinterpreted a word before!

Like many of you, I was awarded a total of 500kWh of complimentary charging for my 2021 MachE, valid thru Dec 2024. I had used less than 50kWh of that before today, and another 50kWh this morning.

I did not receive an email receipt from Ford for today's charging session, my credit card on file was not charged, and the BlueOval connected service link on Fordpass only says "250kWh of Complimentary Charging at EA", just like it does on my ford.com account website.

Since Fordpass does not display the remaining balance like it did before, how do I find out what my current *free* balance is? It should be at least 400+ kWh, so I don't know what the line "250kWh of Complimentary Charging" on the app even means.

21s-24s got 250kWh of free charging but that was discontinued earlier this year. You should still have your unused balance - I had maybe 150 left, but I traded the 21 in for a 24 in August. And lost my balance.

Good luck trying to figure out your balance.

What makes you say valid through December 2024, have they announced an expiration?
