If the order date and order number show up on the "my vehicles" page, is it safe to assume that the dealer accepted it? Also, I saw that my dealer charged the $500 deposit in my bank statement.

Not in my case. My Ford account shows my order number and date (10/1) but I just reached out to my dealer and they said it's still in limbo in their system too and they're still waiting for it to come through on their end so they can accept it.

Some dealers just don't know how to use the online system because they've never used it before. There's a specific page they have to go to and approve new incoming online orders before it gets converted into a live order. My dealer didn't know where the button was either, took them a couple days to find it (I think they had to call their regional rep for help). It's also possible the current server issues are a factor.
Do you have any information on the specific page they need to go to or where the proper button is that I can pass along to my dealer? Thanks

I've had a similar experience. My dealer said they're not sure order banks are open yet. Frustrating. What's the best way to contact Ford Marketing? (Or is it best to tell them what you found out?)
The direct number for the Ford Marketing Team is 800-334-4375 8am-8pm ET.

For what it's worth, my dealer (which is no newbie to selling Mach E's) told me that the delay in them being able to accept my 10/1 order (that on their end states pending) is because Ford is working on getting all the old/late 2021 orders converted to 2022. Only then will they be able to accept it. If this is true, it's likely why we're all "hitting the brakes," and that will stay up until they have cleared it. Which also means yes.. anyone wanting a 2022 should have just ordered it in August... ;)

it’s been working that way at least since Oct 2, when I ordered. I joined this forum just to tell you all that.

Now if only I could get my dealer to “accept” the order. They have been helping me with this order, but sitting on it for some reason. Curious if others are running into the same thing.

Thank you! How did you discover that? Mine is an August 25th order rolled into MY22 by Ford. I note the ford.com order details does not reflect a change from a few days ago (delete option of interior protection package--for MY22 this >replaces< the stock mats!! unlike for MY21).

Yes, I ordered mine end of last week, still waiting for the dealer to enter it into the system.

A bit of luck, really. In my frustration, I encountered another thread, could be this forum or could be another, where someone shared an order status URL that did not include the “mach-e” so I tried that. In hindsight, it makes no sense why the model name would appear in a generic order status address.

What amazes me is that this link has been broken for a week. Ford must be getting complaints, and it shouldn’t be hard for their web developers to figure out what is going on. I wonder if the dealers have to deal with the same buggy web interface.

As of right now I can't even log in to ford.com, let alone check my order status. I know web development can be very complicated, but damn. I think it's time to fire someone.

Finally got to log in, and used the modified URL. Now I'm disappointed to see that it shows my order hasn't been accepted by the dealer. They told me it has, so I don't know what to do, if anything.
