What I think I know from talking to my dealer, reading this forum, and the Elektric article:

• Ford emailed all affected customers - takeaway - no email no issue
• Ford note to dealerships indicates several hundred MME of various build, built before first shipments (OKTB), are being detained for "additional quality checks."
• Line is still producing - takeaway - Issue resolved
• ISSUE - god only knows but, it was "fixed" after OKTB. And Ford probably will never admit to anything.

Makes sense. I would make one point re: no email no issue. There may be cars sitting on the lots that have the issue, and are also being fixed, but no email was sent because they haven't yet been shipped.

My Extended range RWD premium was scheduled for week of 1/3, but has yet to be built. But I notice other variations like first additions are being built on time. Maybe some are being held up and others not but am lucky it hasn't been produced yet so it won't have this problem.

FWIW, my ER RWD was also scheduled for production the week of 1/3 and just got a production date of 1/16 yesterday. Guessing you'll see movement soon.

Reliable sources say the delay with the early Mustang Mach E has been identified. Apparently the cars are hung over from margaritas with Jimmy Buffet, and have been sent to a special detox facility! We reached out to Ford for confirmation, but apparently Jim Farley "refuses to dignify that accusation with a response".

Like many my production week was moved from 12/21/20 to 1/3/21 in notification from ford. The ford tracker is saying production date 1/12/21. So, is production date in ford tracker the day it starts production or finishes or neither?

I'm not 100% committed. The delay will give other auto makers more time to present me with other EV options.

i doubt it will happen, but it’d be pretty cool gesture for ford to include the 3 years of hands-free driving for the “hundreds” of mach-e owners that are waiting for their cars to be “perfected.”

they have all the vins and would be an easy OTA upgrade.

Are you sure it hasn't been produced yet? My owner page looks just like your screenshot and I know mine is produced.
