FordPass 3.24.0 rolling out

The battery issue wasn't happening to me until I drove the car. As soon as I did and then parked, it started killing my phone. May have even started when I got in the car but didn't notice since I was driving.

I apologize if I missed it in this thread but is anyone having a problem keeping the latest version of the FordPass app open, (v3.24.0)? Every time I open the app it simply closes on me after about 10 seconds. I cannot get it to stay open long enough to check anything. I wouldn't be able to use PAAK.

Same for me. Battery life was fine until the update and I unlocked the car and drove in it. Pretty frustrating because my PAAK worked pretty well until the update. Now the car just says no key found when I get in without the fob. I have an appt to install the new software on Monday but I’m not sure that is going to solve the app battery drain on the phone…

OTA updates are great until they break what already worked for you (but I understand it didn’t work for a lot of people which is also frustrating)

Me as well. My battery life has gone to nothing. I'm at 25% now at 3:10. This phone usually goes all day and then some. And that is 25% with plugging it in periodically. This version is a battery killer.

I literally logged on just to see if I was the only one having this issue. PaaK is working better, but not at this trade off lol

Yes, the battery consumption is through the roof. I suspect FordPass is doing bitcoin mining on the background. Ford revenues should go up next quarter. ?

Same here with Galaxy S10. I had to uninstall Fordpass then reinstall the new 3.24 from the Google store. (Of course, I also had to go back thru the Paak setup.) It looks like that reinstall may have also reduced the battery drain.

Uninstall and reinstall worked for me *until* the next time I drove, then battery drain was back. Ironically it drains faster than the built in wireless charger can charge, so watching battery drain *while charging* is pretty wild.

The charging pop up has worked fine for me on iOS 14.6 but bluetooth and entry are again a bit more hit and miss right now. It may take an update on both sides for some which is what 21B36 is about?

There has been prior FP releases (2) for the iphone that I wondered if FP was sucking more KW's than my MME. I have not used this version long enough to know (pay attention). It is not as noticeable as prior or as some here are seeing with this version on android. This type of bug normally gets corrected due to complaints .

No, but it's not as bad (I think). Ford Pass has been a battery hog on my iPhone (iOs 14.6) for a long time. I've gotten in the habit of closing the app when I'm not going to be using the car.

Ok I think I can now say 3.24 is the pits. PAAK has always worked for me not flawlessly but after a couple of button pushes or just taking the phone out. Not so with 3.24 it is a whole lot worse and pretty much nonfunctional now.

Good story about Karma the comedian. Bluetooth connect problems with 3.24. It would not open and let me in with the phone so I pressed the unlock button in the app and it let me in (never had to do this before). Pressed start and no key detected but shorty after it started to play my music off my phone (LZ Houses of the Holy) with only the pass code screen showing. So apple auto works but it does not know my phone is a key. How do we go back to 3.22 as 3.24 is no progression at all. Went in and got the FOB. Maybe 3.24 only works if the paak car upgrade is done? I will see come this week.

As for fordpass 3.24 right now two ?. Oh it burnt 50% of my phone battery in an hour while driving (only). Phone was hot to say the least with music and the FP app hogging all.
