Actually, the little fan that says start climate control is actually the remote start as well cause I’m sitting here in front of it outside and I heard the vents open and now the air conditioner is running so I guess that’s the start button that little fan on the front?
Prior to 5.0 you needed to be connected to your phone to start it. With 5.0, they allow the car to be started independently of your phone. During the summer when I would go for a run (I go without my phone) I would occasionally tell my wife to start my car in 30 min. Now I just start it on my own.I can start the car with my watch. It’s connected to my phone so my phone has cell service or in the house on Wi-Fi whatever but anything I can do on my phone I can do on my watch just about.
Yes, in app its now just a fan pic. When you think about it you arent starting the car, you still need to be in it with a key and touch brake and start to turn on. All you are doing remotely is really turning on climate control.
We appreciate your hard work on this. In 2024, a cohesive app experience is necessary and Ford seems to be listening well and acting on consumer feedback.
The one thing I am missing that was on the other one and it’s under Energy here plug-in charge, but under the other version, you could see Tesla and Electrify America but I don’t see it on the new one?
That outage had nothing to do with the app and was global (but brief).
You’re right, but you know what I’ve noticed about this car that I like when I do the remote start actually, you do not have to put your foot on the break and start. You can just reach over from the passenger side and push the button and then do whatever you want outside because everything Lights up after you do that so you don’t have to put your foot on the brake. Try it one time.
