You might want to be careful with this one ?. The old hold to power on buttons were super controversial and gave a very slow feeling on response time.

interesting enough, both Lucid and Tesla have been single touch on this for a while. Really good reference points.

Under the hood, there are some major major improvements. The UI changes will be a bit YMMV, but the reliability, speed and responsiveness updates should be night and day. There was sooo much we wanted to do but couldn’t do to what’s already out there. We absolutely pushed for the best we could do given our existing limits.

We all were very cognizant of the forum complaints and issues — internally we had the same issues and complaints.

This has been a loooong time coming. Heck I remember my initial pitches for it which feels like a lifetime ago.

Grateful for that and now should turn it more into a computer. Like the vehicle updates are something to consider.

I'm so thankful for single tap for the actions. The press and hold wouldn't have been too bad if it were for like a second, but the amount of time you had to press and hold was ridiculously long.

Even updated the watch to have more controls and use apple’s whole card design.

I think my Apple Watch just updated too, but looks like all I can do is start the car lock it and unlock it from the screen on the watch that is

1. Would be nice to get climate controls like the Lightning gets.

2. Who do I complain to in order to get a picture of the Cyber Orange GT in the app? Our Grabber Blue one shows, but the orange one has never shown an image. It is really annoying...

I see a few charge related settings under Energy I don’t recall seeing a few days ago in the beta option.

Interesting - I got 5.0 and checked things out for the Mach-E. Seems ok. Then I changed to the Escape we also have and it's showing "vehicle on until 4:10pm" - whoops! I verified it was NOT on. To try fixing this issue, I moved the slider to shut the vehicle off and it said "Failed to turn off vehicle". I tried a few times - same.

I'll remove that car and re-add it and see what happens.

I read somewhere remote HVAC controls were added but can't seem to find it.

Very happy to see these updates. But with the vehicle status bar, I don't understand why it cannot indicate if vehicle is locked or unlocked. We see vehicle on, vehicle parked, vehicle driving. However when I try to see if car is locked I cannot.

I’ll sort of reference a few pieces of prior commentary reflecting limitations of the existing systems. Unfortunately anything attempting to display that status will quickly find out that it will become extremely unreliable under some common conditions.

The beta testers can likely speak up to an extent on this now .

I can start the car with my watch. It’s connected to my phone so my phone has cell service or in the house on Wi-Fi whatever but anything I can do on my phone I can do on my watch just about.
