FordPass 5.0 Released

I guess I'm going to have to be "that guy".

This update is a downgrade.

We lost trip planning and charge station controls and data. We also shouldn't have to scroll screens up and down to show more controls. We also don't need a giant picture of our vehicle on the home screen. We all know what we are driving.

I wish I could revert back to the previous version.

I'll emphasize that using 3rd party tools like this is prone to an instant account lock when caught...

I'm clueless when it comes to programming, but I think the author mentioned that Ford was supposed to release some type of "API" or something to avoid any lockout isses.

Also, don't understand why Ford would lock me out of my own account for using an app that provides more/better information than their own app (LVB SOC, tire pressure, alarm on, etc.)

Why not just include all that useful stuff in FordPass?

I'll emphasize that having an app with this info would be great, but it looks unlikely that we'll ever see anything like that from Ford. They can't even put the charging speed on the screen in the car.

Just logged into Ford.com and noticed that the Charge Level seems to be the HVB and not the LVB. Can others please try it and see to make sure it's not just my imagination?

What is the status of the interface options for my Ford Connected Charge Station that were available in FP4 (e.g. Lock/Unlock Charger, Insights, etc.)? I do not see anything in the Energy panel other than the Charge History, which I do not believe is using data from the charge station itself.

Because 3rd party apps can bring their service down if it wasn’t designed to be used by 3rd parties. They need to put safeguards in place to avoid attacks.

Then Ford - which has an entire team dedicated to the FordPass app - should provide more/better - or at least the same - information than what one single programmer working at this on his spare time can - no?

My opinion is FP 5.0 is not a finished product yet, and the features removed are going to be frustrating for some people.

Maybe both of my batteries happen to be at 75%, but that seems unlikely. It's been in the shop for the HVBJB recall and last night showed 39% for the LVB SoC when I checked.
