If you go into the car settings, under remote start you can set how the climate works when you click that button. There are a couple settings.

I'll emphasize that using 3rd party tools like this is prone to an instant account lock when caught...

I know about those nasty account lockups. Third party entities trying to use Ford’s proprietary info without Ford’s permission. Account lockups will happen.

Got the new version yesterday. Everything seemed to be fine. Log off and back on and the App said I needed to install PAAK. My existing PAAK worked just fine. But I decided to delete the old setting and reinstall it again. But I can't because the app says PAAK corrupted and I can't proceed with the reset. I'll figure it out bUt what a PIA.

I was JUST about to complain that "not everyone is getting this yet"... but then I checked for updates on my phone and there it is (and it definitely wasn't there last night).

So far so good. More condensed, simplified layout is always nice. The square buttons on the Vehicle/Service pages in the past always felt really unnecessary. Though I'm probably happier to have a dark mode than anything else.

The only thing I haven’t found is does it list your Electrify America free charge balance anywhere?

I was wondering this exact same thing. Where do we see the ford charging network and trip planner that was in 4.x? And how do I manage plug and charge and other related views / options?

edit: I actually found plug and charge under access & permissions. Still no clue for trip planner or electrify America credits.

Trip planer was removed, charge credits I haven’t seen anyone else find yet either so guess it’s gone.

This update is not any better. My trunk and frunk control doesn’t work. Getting to my other vehicle in the app is more clunky. I’m not happy with it at all.

What does the vehicle icon do? It doesn’t do anything when I touch it. This really confused me because I thought I would let me select another vehicle I have. What I found was I had to touch the icon that looks like multiple vehicles on top of each other. I don’t like the way I have to drill down to select which vehicle I want. Vehicle selection should be at the top level.

Under the hood, there are some major major improvements. The UI changes will be a bit YMMV, but the reliability, speed and responsiveness updates should be night and day. There was sooo much we wanted to do but couldn’t due to what’s already out there. We absolutely pushed for the best we could do given our existing limits.

We all were very cognizant of the forum complaints and issues — internally we had the same issues and complaints.

This has been a loooong time coming. Heck I remember my initial pitches for it which feels like a lifetime ago.

I created a second Ford account, linked my MME to it and am using that one for Tronity and the Android widget. If Ford locks it, no problem. I'll just create another one. I have been using it for months and it has not been locked.
