Ok - this is a rant. If you don't like rants don't read this - please!
There are so many issues with this car, primarily the software which is soooo bad and irritating and frustrating to continually deal with. I love the driving experience but the technology experience - not. Overall not a great experience. Here goes...
FordPass Issues
Not consistent recording Journeys
Problem setting up Preferred Charging Times - Wont let me set 'when plugged in' - produces error msg sometimes.
Freezes sometimes when trying to load screen to set charge times etc
Home Screen does not reliably update charge and range. Says 'updated just now' but data is a day old.
Paak does not reliably open car. And No key found error frequently, so with only one fob must use the access and backup codes.
View Chargers on home page does not reliably return any results (no results found) even when sitting at a charge station
Trip planner view trip does not show the city for each stop
Charging Times not honored. Stopped because Departure Time but no departure time is set.
Sometimes won't honor specified Manual charge settings times or max % charge.
Fordpass won't connect to car periodically.
Foot swipe opens hatch 1/2 the time, and sometimes it stops lifting part way through.
In car with phone - says Bluetooth not connected sometimes.
GOM - Premium AWD Extended - 160 mile winter range in temperate climate with a full tank. And that's about what I'm getting
Automatic headlights work most of the time but not all - unreliable.
So unreliable and unpredictable - not what you want in an automobile.
Ok I feel better now. Oops - made the mistake of trying to view the charge status. FordPass sits and spins. Lovely.
