i noticed this last night and figured it was a server problem. woke up this morning to the same behavior, no updates. it usually takes a couple of tries both on the home screen and vehicle screen to get it to update, but not this time.

did a remote start of the car, then remote stop, and then it updated successfully. so i figured it must have been the car, but who knows, it sounds like a lot of people have been having this problem.

Fordpass 4.24.0 on Android 13 removed my European account login and completely broke Paak, it happened automatically while I was 100km away from home!!!

The backup start passcode never works in my vehicle and the dealer cannot even fix it....
Fortunately I read on the forum that keeping a fob in faraday case hidden in the car can be a life saver ,, which luckily I had used, if not it would have been a real struggle this far .......

Had to manually roll back to apk 4.23.1 and remove Paak from vehicle and phone then setting up again for it to work.

Now the new update 4.24.1 arrived and it keeps force closing occasionally but very frequent, almost on every startup and connection to vehicle..... Very disappointed and frustrating given the price of the car.

Now I'll have to roll back to 4.23.1 again till it's all fixed....

My advice, remove automatic updates in the playstore from fordpass and only do manual updates.

mine was not syncing data with the car and PaaK wasn’t working either all day yesterday. Called fordpass yesterday and was told that known issue after 4.2.1 and have to go to dealer to fix it. Checked this morning and it looks like all back to normal. Looks like it is taking 24 hours after 4.2 to fix itself.

Yeah mine started to work again after about 24 hours. I am hoping the supposed new iOS release tomorrow will fix it for good.

Anyone else having a problem with getting their cars data in Fordpass app this morning? I'm charging at work and can't see my charging data. It says updated 14 hours ago. Doesn't even show the car is charging. I can't lock, unlock, or remote start the car either.
Yes and I called Ford this morning to find out it is a known issue with this latest software update that will impact connectivity. Was told to take my car to the dealership for a modem reset. Problem is the dealership cannot get me in today and I have a trip today that will require me to charge midway and I don’t know if I’ll even be able to charge at the ChargePoint destination charger with this issue. Anyone tried to charge on a public charger with this issue going on?

I had a similar issue that the charging session was not logged and the mobile app did not reflect the true SOC and miles to go, BUT my app can still remote start, open the car, lock, the car, etc.

I called FordPass support and they confirm that this is a bug and that the mobile app will be fixed by a release this coming Friday, if u r an IOS user. Supposedly this was already fixed in the Android platform.

So they say that the mobile app is the link that sends and receives data from the ME and if that is wonky or buggy then the data is not sent to Ford. Apparently the vehicle DOES NOT talk directly to Ford but via the mobile app.

I am sure some of you already know this, but just my 2 cents...
That fordpass rep is incorrect. The car can definitely talk to Ford servers without having to go through your phone. My car and my phone have been miles away from each other for about 24 hours now, literally miles apart, zero chance that they are communicating with each other. My last updated time in FordPass was 37 minutes ago. The shop that it's at (getting a new glass roof to correct a manufacturing defect) isn't even a dealership, or close to the dealer. The car is still connected because it does so through the cellular connection built into the car.

Sadly, you probably know more about how your car works than some of the FordPass support people do.

Just to be clear, FordPass communicates to the car via servers, and uses WiFi or cellular to do so. So, being miles apart is irrelevant. It also uses bluetooth to communicate directly to the car when in range.

4.24.0 is buggy, and 4.24.1 is rolling out to fix that supposedly.

Yes, I believe that is what I said, that the car does NOT communicate to the FordPass servers through the app (which is what a fordpass rep apparently said), but instead communicates using it's own on-board modem and/or wifi capabilities.

The only direct communications to the phone, as far as I am aware, is the bluetooth which is responsible for PAAK. I'm not actually sure if the window/frunk/trunk commands are sent over BT, or if a BT connection is just checked to ensure you are in range and then the commands are sent over the same comms mechanism as lock/unlock/start/stop.

They are sent via BT, that's why they are instantaneous. And if you're in BT range, Start is also, versus it taking 30 seconds via the modem method.

I checked and this wasn't what mine was experiencing. Whatever it was it started working again last night. I'm guessing a server issue.
We had the exact same thing happen to us Tuesday as well. Coincidentally it was while we were having all that trouble charging at a Shell Recharge. The combo was extremely annoying.

Yes. We had two experiences with Shell ReCharge. The first would allow us to charge (I had to use the recharge app) and no matter what I did, I couldn't get the second to activate, including spending an hour on the phone with customer support at about 11PM at night.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I have to travel today for work and I cannot make it to my final destination without stopping to charge on the trip. I did call a ford dealership that is on the way and worst case I'll go there to get help from them and maybe enough charge to get me the rest of the way.

Best of luck to you and safe travels. Ours finally did restart after a few hours. So maybe you'll have the same luck. Both my wife and I had ours lock up at the same time.

Is anyone still having this issue? I am still experiencing it. There are no updates to my Ford Pass app since 8th Feb. My car location is not up to date and blue cruise is not working. The automatic update is turned off and not turning back on.

The latest Android update to fordpass sucks, you get bugged about app not responding and then Bluetooth connection drops and reconnects. The previous version was ok, @Ford Motor Company don't fix something which is not broken
