Free charging @ EA

So does the charger show the session is free when you pull up on the display, or not until you plug in?

It should show that it's free first, but not always.

At the first stop I tried to start the session from the app and it said "declined". A guy in a Bolt said his was complimentary, so I unplugged and plugged back in and it started charging and said it was free. The next time the station had no indication it would be free but when I plugged in it just started charging.

I really appreciate the free charging but I have to wonder how they will ever expand or improve the network if they keep giving away free charges ?‍

I am not sure my car has the improved >80% charge profile. Currently at 69% it gives time to 90%. ?‍?

It will always give you time to 80%, whether or not you have the update.

Is it possible yours wasn't updated? I got mine from the dealer as soon as I could so I'm sure I'm missing some updates. Mine was a 10/27 build that at 80% completely slowed to 10-11 kw charging rate today on the EA screen. I called it quits at 83%.

Yeah it’s not available for builds after June yet.

Ignore that estimate - look at the actual kw being delivered to the car above 80%

No, it's almost all the way to 100%. In my experience, 80-100% takes about half the time it used to, with most of the time being taken by going from ~95%-100%.

No, it's almost all the way to 100%. In my experience, 80-100% takes about half the time it used to, with most of the time being taken by going from ~95%-100%.

I guess Palmer must have meant to 90% of the pack total, not 90% useable.
