It's a warning chime. It's alerting you to an issue. The issue is that your headlights are on. SImply rotate the knob from AUTO, to OFF, then back to AUTO. The switch has bad firmware, and will be replaceable by a dealer in July, maybe.

Thanx, that seemed to work. Too bad Edsel doesn't concentrate on Real issues rather than offering more stupid games. If I wanted a friend, I'd get a dog!

Yeah, because having your headlights drain your battery so you can't drive the car isn't a real issue.

This headlight 'bug' needs to get fixed by Ford. It seems that every update causes the headlight setting to be ignored, such that headlights stay on until the switch is moved back to its automatic setting. I've had it occur at least three times now--once at the dealer following service.

There is a fix, a new switch. It is supposed to be at dealer's in July. Then, they have tens of thousands of replacements to do (I would guess).

There are some Lightnings also. And I would expect other models.
